  1. They do actually have one JUCO rated Akii Smith (2 Star). They are missing two high school recruits on there Jalen Montgomery and Andrew Jones.
  2. I'm not to concerned with 2 stars or 3 stars. All I know (or claim to think I know) is that this group of players can straight up play some ball. Our 2010 class which produced many of the big time producers on this years team was ranked 99th nationally by rivals. Its all about development. You've gone shopping for the groceries now its time to use them to make a great meal.
  3. Think quality over quantity. Rivals ranks their teams based on points. So if you bring in a lot of kids your going to get more points. All the teams ahead of us in CUSA have more players committed.
  4. With Rivals it pushes us up to #10 in CUSA and 101 in the country
  5. Money talks with the Aggies
  6. Its almost like Christmas Morning all over again!
  7. Whoa are you talking about old Vince or high school Vince? That's some pretty high praise. He isn't quite that dynamic as Vince was coming out of high school.
  8. He has a little Jamarcus Russell in his game. More athletic as runner though, less refined as a passer. Similar build
  9. The fact of this class is we are stacking play makers. Whether its guys who can play QB or RB or WR or all 3 positions we are getting athletes. Jalen Adams Fonzale Davis Willy Ivery Tee Goree Kishawn McClain O'Keeron Rutherford Caleb Chumley Someone out of that group is going to pan out to be the next explosive play maker for UNT. I hope its more than one and I like our chances.
  10. Our guys aren't good enough defenders to press all game. We are lacking in anticipation skills and against the dribble. Teams would cut through us like a hot knife through butter.
  11. His team certainly was the aggressor and the more physically imposing team tonight
  12. We don't have a best 5. His substitution pattern didn't lose the game either.
  13. They are better than us. Wasn't hard to see that tonight. You could see even in the first half. I knew we would struggle to maintain a lead and the hot shooting against them.
  14. That game right there oh man. UNT just straight up had their man hood taken from them. They just gave MTSU all their lunch money and ran for the exit. It was quite laughable. Oh and by the way when the hell are we going to learn how to defend dribble drive penetration? I see why we have to go zone so much now. We couldn't stop old man Jenkins with the walker and two knee replacements from driving the ball.
  15. Without their rebounding effort it would have been a much more lopsided loss. Their offensive glass attack made the game feel a lot closer than it really was. 12-4 on second chance points, plus you have to account in that some of those rebs accounted for free throw points.
  16. I feel we will end up finishing somewhere between 5 and 10. Getting the 5 seed would equate to about 10 wins. The 10 seed would be around 8-8 or 7-9. With everything I've seen so far I feel we will finish 8th in this league. We go as our guards go. Our bigs are below average. We only have one guy (Voss) who can stay on the floor. The other guys are very athletic, but not basketball smart. Constantly out of position, bad angles, always reaching, slow on help defense.
  17. Yes we get Tulsa twice
  18. When you shoot 49% from the field your going to be a tough team to beat doesnt matter who you are.
  19. They lost a lot. I'm going with UAB. Thought they'd be better
  20. Our bigs don't understand angles or help defense correctly. It's why they pick up cheap ones.
  21. Looks like Arkansas is coming to the party.
  22. I'd say 3rd in the Southland.
  23. Completely agree. UNT is better. In talent I'd say we'd be in the top 5. Just have to get the end results. It was tough for me to put them so low, but I think it's a fair assessment so far. All they've beat is Marshall and they lost to a bad Tulane team at home.
  24. Should be interesting to see how close Charlotte can stay in that game. La. Tech has a very good D and they can score it.
  25. I did take into account the RPI. The numbers favor UNT to be ranked higher. The results on the court do not.
