I just feel if you're a Mean Green supporter you should put your beef with the AD & Coach aside for this last home stand. Come out an support a team that's playing good basketball. No reason it can't be a special ending to the season.

Interesting take here from ESPN Jeff Goodman: The C-USA title game will be as intriguing as just about any because it will likely feature Louisiana Tech and UTEP. Both of these teams were supposed to be at-large candidates, but that isn’t the case, and each will have to win the league tourney to get into the NCAA tournament. Both teams -- which have high-level coaches and players -- are more than capable of pulling off an upset in the NCAAs.

UTEP could sneak in they have a decent RPI and if they win out I could see them being in the discussion absolutely. I think what hurts them is CUSA being around the 17th best conference in bball right now. In case you're wondering UNT has 0.2% chance of winning CUSA and making the tourney.Last week it 0.1%. His last Bracketology was posted Feb 12th before ODU lost two in a row. They were also on his next four out and listed as 12 seed in a play in game. So its safe to say in his next Bracketology ODU wont be in the big dance.

Not a Benford advocate, but he out coached MTSU and Kermit in the second half. He quit switching D's and stuck with their bread and butter zone. He got his team to play with effort in the second half after playing lazy in the 1st. His offense was shaky, but they've simplified it by running more flex sets instead of the motion. I would like to see these guys get better spacing, but when your running those tight flex sets its hard. This team is going to win bc of its defense. They've got to get those steals and turnovers that equate to easy baskets. We won't beat people bc of our half court O just not going to happen. Defense, hustle, and grit is the key for this team.

Amazing ball is a bit much. We've beat some average teams. We made MTSU look great offensively for a half. They are actually pretty terrible on offense. We've got talent no denying that. We just struggle playing as a collective unit. That's to be expected bc its a team of transfers. You can see they are starting to get comfortable with their roles and playing as a team. If they keep getting better, like they should well we might see a run in the CUSA tourney.

The good news is that MTSU is not a good offensive team. in fact they are pretty bad. PF Reggie Upshaw is their best player. Analytics say that this will be a close game and come down to the last few possessions.

I wouldn't go as far as calling fans idiots. I think these days most people that go to the game are just there to watch a peaceful laid back basketball game. The outcome of the game probably has little effect on them. There really isn't going to be a rowdy atmosphere until you start getting more students into the games. The only way that will happen is if we start to win more. I think a lot of the hardcore fans have become fatigued with where the program is after being good for so many years. People don't want to come out and watch Benford coach period end of story. I have no problem with some fans wanting to raise the bar and wanting to see a better atmosphere at the games. Its basketball it should be a rowdy atmosphere. That is the standard that has been set. You turn on your TV and watch a good small or large program and you see fans on their feet making a true home court advantage. I think we'd all love to see that at North Texas. I dont think its impossible to see that at UNT, because we've seen it before. Just need to win more game and build faith back into the program. I have a hard time believing that Benford can do that.

Gonna have to say Armani Flannigan was the unheralded star of the night. In 16 mins he scored 10 pts, hauled in 4 boards and blocked 1 shot. That is great production off the bench.

Arkansas had a top 25 recruiting class which ranked 11th in the SEC and last in the SEC West. They lost some good defensive players, so no way are they winning the West this year.

Would not be surprised from what I've heard if TE Marcus Smith doesn't get looks next year. How he develops is big. His body and athleticism is something NFL scouts look for. Athletic pass catching TEs are a premium in today's game. He just needs to refine those pass catching skills along with some of his route running. It's a shame about Lemon. Had he excelled at OT his stock would've soared. He just struggled this year. Mainly with speed rushers. He should get a call after the draft though.

If Rentfro is a starting OT we will have problems. He cant handle a pass rush.

We wont be favored to win any of the remaining 10 games. Our best chance for a victory will probably come against Middle Tennessee at home. Other close winnable games would include @Marshall, UAB, and Charlotte. I'd say we win 2 out of those 4 and 1 game we have no business winning. That would give us a record of 12-18.

I wouldnt put down electrical tape IMO. There are floor tape available that are meant for volleyball & basketball courts.
