No big wins. Strength of Schedule. Got throttled by Valpo and Xavier. I agree they shouldve been rewarded for the 25 wins in a row, but the committee rewarded teams who played a tougher schedule. I think in some cases its a little unfair that the bigger schools already have good teams on their schedule as a part of their conference. UTEP has a big size advantage and will need to play some tough defense to shut down the Racers. Murray St ranks 17th in offensive efficiency. UTEP ranks 95th in defensive efficiency. It should be a pretty good matchup.

MGB: 5 steps UNT needs to take to improve

Not sure how they can insist on this.Unless they are all blind and don't watch the games. Too much has to happen for this team to be good next year. We are banking on a lot of unknowns. We have talent, but we don't have a successful system. What makes people think that these guys will suddenly buy into a coach that hasn't accomplished anything worth while? Again we are likely to have a roster of guys who haven't played with each other much. I just don't believe you can have as much turnover in the roster as UNT has at the mid major level and expect to be successful. The best thing for this program is to fix the problem at the top.Cut ties with Benford and go grab Anthony Grant that just got let go from Bama. -

14,15, or 16. They are deserving of nothing better. La Tech is NIT bound. Only ODU has a slim shot of getting in. -

We had talent who just didn't care last night. Whatever message was being preached to them was also not worth believing. I don't really blame the players for not believing in his system. -

Im really only talking about mid major conferences and conferences that are likely to be a one bid league. -
Players came out flat with no passion. They went through the motions. Rice came out with a purpose and took it to us. They flat out embarrassed us. Sad to see Jordan Williams playing terrible. Coach needs to be fired. Don't even let him fly back with the team.

2015 CUSA Men's Basketball Tournament

Short yes boring NO. Don't see how the best playing the best is boring. It also strengthens mid majors chances of making noise in the big dance. CUSA doesn't want to see a below .500 team win the tourney and draw a 16 seed. They want ODU/La Tech/UTEP to win it because they have the best chance of representing CUSA well. -

I wouldn't be surprised if some day mid major conferences slim down their conference tourneys to the top 4 teams. Eliminate the chance of a below .500 team of representing the conference. -

Talk about some horrible FT shooting FIU 50%; UTSA 57.1%. I think there was better FT shooting in the GMG game on Sunday. -
Especially when you have a guy like Max Guercy who can easily break down a defense and get open looks for his teammates. At times it seems like Rice drives to kick, they don't really drive to score.
-
BASKETBALL BREAKDOWN: Rice Owls When you get into tourney play its all about match-ups. I happen to think this a good match-up for NT. Rice is not a good defensive team. NT shouldn't have much trouble getting open looks. For NT this game is about using their athleticism to make Rice feel uncomfortable. I expect NT to come out scrapping and forcing TO's. As long as Rice doesn't start knocking down 3's unconsciously then the Mean Green should win.

MGB breaking news -- Petersen out at UNT

Hey man sometimes that's the toughest thing to do. How many guys in power of sports teams fail to do the obvious thing? -
"Junior Fred Scott will slide into Akunne's outside-linebacker spot, while Buffalo transfer Blake Bean is going into the spring as the No. 1 middle linebacker. Calvin Minor and Sed Ellis each return at the other outside-linebacker position." Winter Workouts Conclude, Spring Practice Begins Tuesday

Yes he played. He is a SO
-
Its listed as McNulty then Greer or Means or Williams
-
Interesting that LB Jamal Marshall will move to CB.
-
Everyone is saying that Murray St. wont be in. The Whicita St. loss may hurt more.
-
I don't care about seeding that much. Playing good ball and confidence means more going into the tourney
-
Should only be able to drop to the 10th seed. We have the win over FIU and they only have 7 wins. I'd say we finish somewhere between 6th and 9th. Again I don't care as long as we don't see ODU, La Tech, or UTEP in the 2nd round.
-
Ahmed with 18 shots and 16 points. You know that stat line could mean it was a bad game for everyone else.
-
UTEP is releasing their anger on us.
-
Have to disagree with you.
-
I don't care what our seeding as long as we don't see ODU in round 2. A 6 seed right now would give us an ODU matchup if we win game 1. A 7 seed would be UAB. If I got to chose I'd rather play UAB then ODU/UTEP/La Tech.
