If we did play Troy, then right now Vegas would most likely have Troy a 4 to 5 point favorite.- 418 replies

Im taking the under with actual $$$

Im sure he meant contributing. He's contributing, just not scoring. There have been a few times when I've thought he's been able to really help break down the zone. Seemed like when he was in the ball was movement was better. Yeah he hasn't been impressive, but he's always moving and giving good effort on both sides of the ball. He does have some TO issues.

Aggie media dude reporting, not a great source.
-
Not really. This team is going to be up and down. It takes some mental toughness to not completely meltdown. I’ll give’em credit for finishing the game.
-
Well his only 2 shots have been 3’s. They were bad shots. Plus he hasn’t taken care of the ball. So he needed to sit.
-
Turnovers are the main concern here. Grambling can force them and we have a tendency to make bad decisions. If we protect the ball and rebound like we did against GT then we run away with this one. I'll say its somewhere in between. 77-67 NT wins https://meangreennation.com/2017-18-bball-season-grambling-preview/

Give me North Texas by 10

Kiffin says he is sticking at FAU

He may be the only guy they could get after yesterday. He'd leave FAU today if they called. -

All of CFB except you guys wants Baby Kiff to go back to Tennessee like prodigal son. -
And now they just beat SMU

The 2 big lineup doesn’t really fit the dribble drive motion offense we are currently running. Not sure how good of a ball handler Tikhonenko is. I was surprised Rodgers didn’t throw the zone at us. Georgia Tech will for sure. If defenses are wanting to kick it to Holston he needs to attack off that kick. No need to shoot a long shot. Attack the gap and do what you do best.
-
Tadric gives them some firepower, but I’d rather face him than Okogie.
-
They don’t shoot the ball well. They haven’t played well this season. They turn the ball over a lot. Yes they can rebound the offensively well mainly just Lammers. On defense they are terrible at rebounding. They have no bench. Only really play 7 guys. So yeah we might struggle on offense, but they do to. The way GT is playing right now it’s a winnable game. They aren’t playing like a top 50 team. They aren’t playing like their preseason rankings. Beat Bethune by 3, UTRGV by 10. Its a winnable game.
-
Well since you don’t know much about basketball. GT isn’t a top 40-50 team. RPI is like 228. Barely beat Bethune-Cookman. Only beat UTRGV by 10. So how are they a top 40-50 team?

Georgia Tech is a winnable game.

Just going through the motions.

I’m looking at the ESPN box score and it doesn’t

We have a guy who can break down the zone. We probably haven’t practiced much zone offense yet. Anytime you hit a team learning the motion early in the season with a zone it’s going to confuse them. -

Didn’t really struggle against Bethune-Cookman. We got smoked in the first 8 mins at Nebraska. Last 32 mins NT was the better team. We didn’t get easily beat by UTRGV. We don’t have a bunch of good players that can easily overcome chemistry issues. I don’t believe you can throw a team together at the mid major level of 7 new players and expect things to run smoothly. It’s not going to happen. So no matter how good GMac is we are going to struggle early. But if he is a good coach then we should see progression. -

Lawson is more of point 4. A lot of motion offenses that have the 4 taking the ball out require the 4 to be able to dribble like Lawson. I don’t think Jahmaih is a post guy. More of a slasher. -

Naw. Yeah he’s a basketball knowledge guy, but he’s wrong here. Why should I? I studied UTRGV some. I felt the teams were comparable. -

Well if Duffy & Smart don’t go 2-14 from downtown we probably win. Also no need for Lawson & Smart to be shooting 7 combined 3’s -

I don’t think it was worse. We lost to team comparable to ours at this point. We let the game slip away. I don’t think tonight was anything alarming. 4 games in bunch of dudes that never played together. Benford coached teams loses tonight by 20 and gives up 90 Ive seen rankings where UTRGV was ranked ahead of us.
