3 winning seasons out of 8 at the G5 programs. Had an overall losing record at Ball St. 1 game over .500 at San Diego St. Struggles to develop players. Dude doesnt even wear a head set when he coaches. No Texas ties. Offense would suck.

Id take Applewhite over Hoke. Hoke proved the game has passed him by at Michigan. Hoke is like McCarney 2.0 he cant develop talent. At Michigan he out recruited a lot of the teams they faced, but yet Michigan still lost.

Because everyone that comes from the Briles system puts up yards and points and we've been lacking in that area. Briles would make UNT trendy. The only problem is he is probably not ready to lead a program. He also probably couldnt land a quality staff.

I agree, but I think he is a legit candidate with RV heading the search.

Crazy stuff happens in these types of games. Stats & Match-ups dont matter. I'm not doing a breakdown to tell everyone that WKU is better in every category than us. This game is about pride, effort, and passion. Sure people will point and laugh and say we are crazy for picking UNT. No we'd be crazy for picking UNT if McNulty and McCarney were leading this team.

Havent picked us to win all year. Odds Makers are giving UNT a 0.5% chance of winning this game. I will take that. North Texas will win.

Also he eluded to the donors and board of regents have a hand on how things play out. So you can sense he realizes that he needs them on board with his decision. I think the biggest take away are: He cares He will be hands on He gave no endorsement to current AD. Didnt say he stands behind him or anything.

With RV its nearly impossible. Word is spreading around agents that North Texas may be a toxic job with the current AD. They will tell their clients to say no thanks. And then there is also the fact that RV might not listen to all who are intrested. He might be sold on one guy already. He wont interview multiple candidates.

This right here. We lose respect with our AD. His handling of the firing was an embarrassment. Even if he was told to do it. If DaMarcus balls out these last games how much more intriguing does the job get. But I've heard the same guys are interested and guys we want.

Yeah I'll report it. The President doesn't support the AD. This is a battle of RV and the $BMD vs The President. If a move comes down its bc the President makes it or he was able to convince those $BMDs that it's time to end the embarrassment. This isn't just as simple as some think that RV is staying. President hasn't been happy with him. Now does he have the gusto to make a damn move.

It was on twitter before the game all indications were McCarney wouldnt be back for next year. That game just sped up the process.

With RV yes its an option bc it wont make the fan base happy. You know something he specializes in.

Im not forgetting about him. I just think between Wilson, Ivery, and Jimmerson we got a nice backfield. I think the 2015 WR group in better than the 2010 group by far. Id also be willing to take Smith over Dodge. Its at least a push until we see Smith play more.

Portland St was last week

Not really. This is a different team as he eluded to in his press conference. He didnt have much on the 2010 with all the injuries. I think the offensive weapons he has are better. No can he put the fun into this offense that is the question.
