Saban did not have the MSU program built to level of Dantonio. There is less reason for Dantonio to leave the Saban. He'd be in a total rebuild project and at a less respectable school. Saban had the big year at MSU and cashed in. Dantonio has had multiple big years.

His ex coach compared his arm Mettenberger and I think that guy knows a little bit more than you. He has a live arm and probably the strongest in CUSA. He is a career 50-55% passer. He isn't the most accurate guy out there, but he has the tools to be a good QB in CUSA.

Look man Dajon got his first start against a junior high team and then got a bye week. Plus he was in the program for a 1yr and half at that point. NT just asked DaMarcus to prepare in a short week to go up against a team better than team Dajon faced. We are talking about a guy who had a handful of reps with the 1st team and who doesnt have a full grasp of the play book. He also isnt playing behind an experienced OL. Top it off you asked him to go up against his old team in his first FBS start. Dajon made his own choices that got him booted. He wasnt going to last at any school he went too. Its a shame. Mac didnt run him off DaMarcus is more talented than Dajon. He is the most talented QB UNT has had in some time. Now he just needs to be developed. Im not worried about the completion percentage. That will work its self out with some mechanical corrections and when he feels comfortable out there. He is a 50-55% completion guy. He trys to force it because he has got away with that all his life. Any QB with that kinda of arm strength has an ego that they can fit it anywhere.

The keep rolling him out because he makes his plays from outside the pocket, gives him the run pass option, less to look at meaning he only has to read 1/3 of the field. He has thrown about 100 less passes then McNulty and has thrown more TDs

Chicos thoughts are: Score more points bc we ain't fixing that D. In all honesty I believe he is letting each coach do whatever they need to do to get this team better. I don't think he micromanaging like Mac. It's on every coach to coach his ass off for his next job. So Chico isn't going to try to fix the D. He is going to get Smith and the offense better so we can out score folks.

Look this game isnt about match-ups or stats its about pride at a time of crisis. These types of games never go the way that the experts think. They never do. Western Kentucky wont respect North Texas. WKU has said that North Texas doesnt look good on film. That says it all right there, the WKU players are looking past North Texas straight to LSU. The most important thing for North Texas tonight is to come out and jump right on Western Kentucky. North Texas needs to have something big happen early in the game. Onside kick or touchdown to take the lead an then onside kick. Something needs to happen to fuel the belief. Once that happens its all about battling till the fourth quarter and having a chance. If North Texas can get to the 4th quarter with the lead or within a TD then anything can happen. I havent picked North Texas to win any game at all this year. That changes today and I'm picking NT to win. I just have this feeling that the North Texas team will play beyond belief in front of 1,000 fans. North Texas wont go 0-12.
