  1. He looks like a top 5 maybe top 3 QB in CUSA. For sure top 5. In in total control out there. No incompletions in the 0-10 range. He suffered some droops down the field.
  2. They did a few times
  3. I wouldn't be that surprised if he stays committed. Frank Harris is a probably the best recruiter in CUSA. He has had a great offseason and really set a tone when it comes to recruiting. I don't think Littrell and his staff are that good at getting big time recruits, but I really believe they are better coaches and developers. I also think the system is better. Littrell has 12 games to showcase his program. He needs to show kids how much fun it is to play here. UTSA has won the offseason by a mile, but UNT can still beat them and finish strong.
  4. He is probably going to end up as a backup Safety. Definitely in the 2 deep.
  5. I believe at one point in time Scout was in talks with this site. Either way the only way to get constant recruiting coverage is to have a site associated with a network (rivals, scout, 247) and enough subscribers to warrant hiring manpower to cover it.
  6. I'm not disagreeing with you guys about Morris (bc I really like him and think he can put up tremendous numbers), but outsiders looking at our program would view our additions this past off-season as minor. Your looking at the 10pt line as a NT fan with big time optimism. Vegas isnt looking at it that way.
  7. 75 compared to 102 is a difference in talent. I never said they were a team with top 25 talent like Houston. If we faced Houston the line would be close to the 25-30 range. Houston's class was ranked 35th last year with an avg player rating of 85.49. SMU 81.24 and UNT once Johnson and Hayes are removed checks in at about 77. So there is a pretty big difference in talent just acquired this year. They beat us by 18 last year when they were bad and we were bad. Both teams are a little better this year. The reason for a 10 point dog is what happened last year and the thought process that while NT has improved they haven't improved enough to justify a smaller opening line. QB that hasnt played. Team with very questionable depth. OL is very shaky. A defense that was terrible last year. Minor talent additions.
  8. Just going by 247 SMU has had a recruiting class ranking 81st in 2015 and 75th in 2016. Compared to 102 and 95 for NT, and those rankings for NT are favorable considering two of our top guys didn't qualify and 5 of our 9 3 stars from 15 are no longer on the team. Their depth is better than ours. They've got 16 returning starters and 94% of their yard gainers back. We have so far to go. 10 points is a fair starting point. A TD and a FG in a shootout game. NT shouldnt need a Vegas line to inspire them to work harder for a rivalry game.
  9. Vegas knows what they are doing. I'd say its a fair opening line considering the talent & depth gap between the two teams.
  10. Yes Houston payed up, but Herman is waiting on A&M or UT. Houston can only keep him for so long.
  11. He was just giving the nice answer. They are waiting on paperwork that isnt going to show up. Besides Johnson and Hayes the bulk of the guys are there. Jenkins, Baulkman, Jackson. Not sure on Holston.
  12. Yes they can be added at a later time when they are cleared.
  13. Per UNT officials on JUCO roster additions " In regards to any juco guys, yes, we are waiting until they are all enrolled and cleared to be announced, so once we have that, we will add them at that point."
  14. Confirmed. Bendy has left the program.
  15. I do like that Texas St President Denise Trauth invites alumni to come to a game in her suite. My wife and I have attended a few. I wish our President would do something similar with members of the alumni association.
  16. Everything else wasn't. His arm strength is better, but its not great. There is plenty of knowledge base to say he is better than McNulty. You have to trust those people that know what to look for when grading a QB. Any of the guys on here who are coaches could evaluate him as being better than McNulty. Myself an armature scout/analyst lol would also grade him out far ahead of McNulty. You have every right to be skeptical though and I dont fault you.
  17. Transfer QB Zach Greenlee from Fresno St. Good OL. Jones returns at RB. They get FAU, FIU, and ODU from the East.
  18. I've already heard it from plenty of other people
  19. very representative of NT with the 3 different shades of green
  20. I chose not to renew. I didnt even answer the phone when they called asking me if I wanted to renew.
  21. So you were hoping for miracles without allowing recruits to see what the Littrell/Graham offense will look like? Harris loved the staff here and the new offense, but he was never going to spurn his hometown team for their rival. The UTSA fan base treats him like Lebron down there. A 3* prospect gets to announce his commitment on the local news? Harris probably also knew he would be a better fit in their offense. There was a tremendous amount of pressure on him to stay home and play for UTSA. He has now burdened himself with being their hero. Did we lose a recruiting battle to UTSA? Yes and its disappointing. Did Harris sign his LOI yesterday? Nope How high would Harris be ranked if he were scouted just as a dual threat QB? Rankings change over time. The most important thing is for this staff to get the QB evaluation right.
  22. and a better fit for the offense.
  23. I'll say this if you have a great secondary or one you really trust then you can be more aggressive with your front 7. Ekeler wants to be aggressive so this kind of addition would fit what he wants to do. You cant ever have enough good players
