  1. So yesterday I ran to Wal-Mart to get groceries after the 2nd quarter of the Ravens game. Ended up spending two hours there because they charged me twice and couldn't figure out how to refund it. I say all this to ask: Does anyone know if there's a place I can see our boys' stats, replays or anything? I would really like to know how they did.
  2. So anxious about this season! I PRAY that we have a .500+ season and make Mac's W/L at UNT better than .500 as well.
  3. The rare appearance! Take note, world!
  4. If you're on Twitter, search UNT vs. UT. The amount of people talking about going to that game is really encouraging.
  5. This. This is a fact.
  6. 6-6. I don't think .500 or better is unrealistic, especially given our schedule.
  7. Awesome thoughts/insight! I hope he's as much of a wizard as I imagine him being.
  8. Is that to say that you think UT doing so would be less of a threat than LSU or Bama? Also, I too would be interested in your assessment, like MeanGreenTexan.
  9. Thank you. Weird, I've never done that before. Oh, so the expected enrollment for those years are what the university should be able to facilitate and not used to estimate revenue?
  10. Recently I was re-watching some of our games from my undergrad (which, admittedly wasn't very long ago) against typically higher ranked teams (K-State, LSU, etc). With our smaller, younger, less experienced teams of the past (which I imagine will be similar to this season's team), teams would keep beating against our defensive line until they finally pried open a hole and ran the ball 20-30 yards. But the author does mention the quality of our secondary. Do you think they'll be able to help defend against the run better than previous years' teams?
  11. I'm one of the first people who defends the university and point out the changes made when people start attacking it for the budgetary problems. That being said, I will remain...cautiously optimistic about the likelihood that 2015 actually experiences a surplus. In 2005, we expected 41K enrollment by 2015. Our new master plan says 45K by 2020. If our board of regents is nothing else, it is optimistic.
  12. I think this is seriously brilliant. Please do not forget about this.
  13. Yeah, serious props to Strong...I hate to like him.
  14. Awesome video, thank you for posting it!!! Now, who the heck was exhaling through their nostrils so loud??
  15. http://www.twu.edu/greek-life/phi-beta-sigma.asp Just thought it might be interesting to know that they do, apparently, now have fraternities.
  16. A lot of d-bags, which is to be expected. But more "welcomes" than I expected and a lot of realistic people saying stuff like, "there may be more UNT fans in our stands than SMU fans." Pretty alright, I'd say. I'm psyched to play them, here and there.
  17. THIS would make it worthwhile. Other than wanting to see the studies that suggested beer sales would benefit the university/athletics, I've also been asking myself,"Why do WE want to do this?" To be like "the other guys?" Denton (and UNT) is not about that. Some local/craft brews, though...
  18. I would be REEAALLY interested to inspect the studies they did to determine that. I sure hope that is accurate, but I also hope they didn't just go with that based on the "that sounds about right" test.
  19. I wanna party with MeanGreenMan.
  20. I want to party with Don.
