'17 QB Frank Harris (Clemens)

Yes, let's see what the senior year reveals. -
Idgaf about that noise. If someone wants to argue that I'm a booster because I like UNT and gave to the general scholarship once, they'd be a damn fool. I just like to speculate and wait for the announcement!

Baylor fans v. North Texas fans poll
Tyler Maryak replied to Tyler Maryak's topic in Mean Green Football
The majority of the people who follow that account are A&M people, so a ton of people voted for the school going against UT. We are facing A&M in the Final Four, so if we want this small victory, we need to blow up social media with links to this poll. We got about 1,360 votes in the Elite Eight. A&M got about 3,524. We belong in the finals, damn it. Let's do this thing! -
Every 2016 1st-Year Coach's Biggest Offseason Question
Tyler Maryak replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Am I the only one who looks at this picture and sees this: Also, I'm fairly certain the answer to that question is going to be "immediately." -
He followed me on Twitter after I liked a Tweet someone @ him in. Which is not to say it means anything or I'm anyone. Actually, the fact that I'm a relative nobody (outside of being a Mean Green fan) combined with him following me gives me hope that maybe he's leaning toward UNT.

Baylor fans v. North Texas fans poll

The people who started this twitter page are A&M people (at least, most of their followers are A&M people), so it's going to take a lot for us to win this one. -

We almost certainly won't. But still, isn't he the third Mean Green player on this list? Someone with green-tinted glasses could gain some encouragement from that, dont you think? -
DMN: Can Seth Littrell point the arrow up in Denton?
Tyler Maryak replied to Tyler Maryak's topic in Mean Green Football
Best one-liner by 90 since I joined this board. -
http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/college-sports/untmeangreen/2016/06/05/game-game-predictions-unt-2016-can-seth-littrell-point-arrow-denton With such [relatively] low scoring games, it seems like Brett doesn't have much faith in the hopes of our passing game improving, huh? EDIT: I just noticed that this article is from like two weeks ago, so if it's already been posted then my apologies. Week 1: vs. SMU Location: Apogee Stadium, Denton Last meeting: SMU 31, UNT 13 (2015) Breakdown: New UNT coach Seth Littrell will make his debut in a game against UNT’s fiercest rival. SMU leads the series 29-5-1, but the teams have split the last six games in the series with the home team winning every time. If UNT can pull off a win against SMU, Littrell’s long leash as a new coach will suddenly look a whole lot longer. Key player: UNT’s hopes in its first season under Littrell will largely depend on the Mean Green’s success in finding a quarterback to run his pass-heavy system. UNT’s best option by far is Alabama transfer Alec Morris. The former Allen standout sat on the Tide’s bench for four years and arrived at UNT as a fifth-year senior transfer. UNT needs him to succeed right away at UNT. Prediction: UNT-SMU Round 36 won’t exactly look like the clash of the titans. UNT finished 1-11 last year, while SMU was 2-10. The Mustangs are a year into their rebuilding project under Chad Morris, while UNT will be in Game 1 under Littrell. The Mustangs also should have the talent edge. SMU 27, UNT 24 Record: 0-1 Final record: 3-9 (2-6)

Random thought - I wonder if RV wishes he had waited another week to announce he was stepping down so that story would be buried in all the Baylor stuff.

Something tells me this is from Beverly Hillbillies, but when I read it, in my mind it was set to the rhythm of Fresh Price of Bellaire. -

I love your knack for nicknames. Especially your use of alliteration. Can we hang out sometime so you can come up with a nickname for me? I need something new for my alter ego. -
New-look football closes out spring, looks forward to fall
Tyler Maryak replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
So I have a thought/question that will probably be stupid. Truthfully, I'm partially just typing it so I can work through my thought myself. During the Spring game, we were lining up on D with three down linemen. Our O-line had, what? 2-3' gaps? The QB was getting pressured quite a bit, but we keep talking (rightly so) about how the spring game could mean one thing is good or another is bad. Is it possible that both could be bad this season? How will our O-line handle having 4 down linemen? How will our D handle having an O-line that is much closer together? Could the answer possibly be that they both get pwned? Again, maybe super stupid questions. I came into college not even knowing the names of all the positions, so forgive me if reading this wasted a tiny part of your life.- 18 replies
