I hate to say it, guys, but my money says we're wearing the exact same unis as last year. As you can see, the triangle/shield thing on the jersey last year did say "North Texas." They clearly changed the number on the Twitter pic to 16 (for 2016...it took me too long to put 2 and 2 together, trust me). So it makes sense that a lazy person would just scrap the numbers on the shoulders. As for the number being bigger - again, laziness. They probably just threw the numbers on there not thinking that anyone would fact check the proportional size to the actual jersey. Not that I care one way or the other, but I thought I might offer up a "pump the breaks" to anyone really looking forward to seeing a different look on Saturday. Just drink a lot - the unis will look different. And, if you're like me, your muscle memory from last season will probably tell you that's what you're supposed to do at UNT football games anyway. DISCLAIMER: I think we go 5-7 including a WHOOPING on SMU this Saturday!!!

UPDATE: I pulled the trigger! If you were thinking about it but you were unsure, do it! Come join me, brothers!!! Like a good husband, I told my wife...by posting about it on Facebook and assuming that she will see it before I see her after work.

There will probably be an appropriate number/variety of venders still. I don't think this is a spin. The old director for concessions was awful. I think (and hear) that the new guy (who actually was here long ago) is a huge step up. I think concessions, and thus game day experience, will be improved this year.

Thank you you tagged me, Ben. I'll surrender my spot, if anyone wants it. I liked that spot a lot, but I'll be roaming in gear again this year. Also, I'll sell my North Texas tent for like $50, if anyone wants it. minor damage from getting blown over that first UTSA game (bad memories), but still completely functional. I just won't have space for it where I'm moving.

After listening to the podcast, I got psyched for the hope of Beyond the Green returning and wanted to watch some of the old episodes. Immediately, I wanted the Sarge McCoy to be the first one I watched. It got me thinking - does anyone know what he is doing these days? Wouldn't it be great to have that guy around these young guys in some capacity? I have to wonder what last season would have been like if he was still around. I think he's an exceptional guy.

Not just that - In the first video of him addressing the team, he said their mission is to WIN their bowl game. He specifically said, "I did not say MAKE a bowl game. I said our mission is to WIN our bowl game." That, in combination with what I've heard and seen so far, has me counting on 4+ wins. It must have been a typo. It should look like: SMU: 28 NT: 41

If you leave after taking the oath, you'll probably end up enlisting. That's really your only option unless you wanna get sued for the entire cost-of-living and training you received while at a service academy. Yes, the DoD is doing that for real. Although you technically owe them like 10 or 12 years if you enlist out of a service academy, they're usually letting guys off after 4 or 5. I guess even the military realizes it's not in the unit's best interest to keep someone around who doesn't want to be there.
