  1. There isn't a safe space big enough for an SMU grad's ego. Note for anyone who failed your comedy course - he introduced a new, unique joke and I made a response that corresponds with his joke instead of "haha, drugs..."
  2. I really liked this podcast and I'm looking forward to the BTG that should post today or tomorrow! Last week felt brutal. Thanks for doing these, guys!
  3. I think what Jesse is saying is like, SMU guy comes in cutting himself down. Okay, haha, good times. Then everyone wants in on the I'm-funny pie and starts adding their own little bit to cut down the outsider. Maybe one or two people can do it and still seem light-hearted, but after a while of the same type of joke being made by everyone it's like...come on, we can do better. I mean, idc, evidently I've had a narrow view of people's true nature until recently. I'm just stating my understanding of what Jesse said. Everyone proceed with the meth=methodist jokes, as is tradition.
  4. The fact that we're only four point underdogs has me feeling like this one is in the bag. However, I tempered my expectations and went with 60%. If you look at the Army game, we had 7 (SEVEN!) turnovers and, as incredible as our defense has been, at least a few of those were screw-ups by Army. Also, Army outpaced us in a ton of categories. Really, we won that game because of turnovers. HOWEVER, if Fine is really clicking and the defense keeps forcing turnovers, this should be a gimme. The fact that UTSA's run game and defense doesn't rank anywhere near Army's tilts the odds pretty heavily in our favor too.
  5. Or UNT's Eagle Student Service Center
  6. There was a poll or something on Twitter about UNT adding baseball and The Wren and I both happened to get tagged in a response to it. The Wren, maintaining consistency, responded with the following: Looks like we can expect to see at least the strategic plan before summer rolls around. Just thought that was cool and worth sharing!
  7. I felt good about it until I read someone's brief analysis of the Knights' games thus far (maybe it was earlier in this tread). I had no idea they had top 10 defense stats against the run. I'm really surprised by that and it worries me. I'm also surprised by how close a lot of people think this game will be. I completely believe a 17 point spread, but if we can come out firing on all cylinders, I believe we could be the major victors. Either way, I think the score differential will be significant. The bye week, deceptively good play against Marshall, playing the triple option, a quality opponent but with recent hardships...too many variables to call it. BUT I WILL ANYWAY. REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE!!! North Texas - 31 Which Way Is North? - 14
  8. I didn't know I'd be saying this, but I think I'm more worried about their defense getting to Fine than I am about their offense.
  9. Lol, I was just thinking the same thing. I started following the post because I was curious if anyone had any insight that might answer his question. The emails I've gotten so far have been somewhat less than enlightening.
  10. From B+ to A-. Get six wins or have a great recruiting class and it's an A. Do both and it's an A+ and he'd probably have to beat up my mother to drop down. EDIT: I would be REALLY interested if someone giving a grade below B- would include their reasoning. I know you might be opening yourself up to hate mail, but it won't be coming from me. I'm just really curious.
  11. Yeah, after getting fairly hosed in our schedule the past two seasons, I imagine they must give us a much softer schedule next year. Improved team + improved philosophy + improved schedule will probably = 6 wins. And that's all it takes...
  12. My beloved Eagle Ambassadors provide tram rides. When I was among them, we would pick up from Fouts and make a treacherous journey past the beer barn fields and onto Bonnie Brae. Not sure if that's still the route used, but I imagine those trams are still running.
  13. Having 15,000 people in a 35,000 person stadium doesn't look good any way you organize it, so I don't think moving them down is that big a deal. That would be a nice area for fans to be able to sit. I'm sure the logistics of getting them on/off the field is the key issue considering where the ramps are set up in the stadium design.
  14. Prime rib?? I will probably take you up on that offer.
  15. You didn't ask for it, but here are my expected emotions during the game: "Heeere COME...the MEAAAN GREEEN!!!" "The Mean Green defense has the Herd deep in their own territory on 3rd and 30 aaand they air out a Hail Mary for the touchdown." "Mason Fine hits Buyers on the slant route. Buyers slips the tackle and he's off to the races!" "And after a huge pickup, the Mean Green are held to a field goal to end the half." "To start the second half, Wheeler forces a fumble and it's returned by the Mean Green defense for a touchdown!" "Here comes the kickoff...and the Herd return it 97 yards for a touchdown." I have no idea what the final score will be, but I think I'm going to leave saying:
  16. What was our actual against MTSU? It didn't look good...
  17. Congrats on the addition to your family!
  18. Skipped here from Page 4 to say that GoMeanGreen.com views is the REAL winner of this report being released. #165CommentsAndCounting
