North Texas Slips Pass Rice to Become Bowl-Eligible 26-18 on Halloween. The North Texas Mean Green (6-3, 4-1 Conference USA) wins 4th conference game over the Rice Owls (8-1, 7-1 Conference USA) in a game played Thursday, October 31 at Apogee Stadium in Denton. The Mean Green is bowl-eligible for the first time in nine seasons. The Mean Green collected a sixth victory in front of a national television audience by scoring on offense, special teams and with a physical defense. The Mean Greens next home game will be on Saturday, November 9 against UT El Paso.

North Texas Mean Green Triumphs Over Middle Tennessee 34-7 The North Texas Mean Green (3-3, 1-1Conference USA) wins first conference game at home with a over the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (3-4, 1-2 Conference USA) in a game played on Saturday, 10/12/13 at Apogee Stadium in Denton. The Mean Green defense turned in a great performance, holding Middle Tennessee to 205 total yards. The Blue Raider’s quarterback was held to only 36 yards passing.
