No, no it is not. I'm hoping the same for my Celtics. Championship or suck, those are the only two things I'll take from them this year. If they get out to a bad start, I'll be rooting for them to lose every night. TM would fit that team perfectly...imagine Rondo to TM lobs???

I give up. I don't know how clearly it needs to be said. U...L....L...is....not...the...effing...point...
-
Are you guys friggin dense? ULL IS NOT THE FCKING POINT. The point is that they prevent it AT ALLLLLLLL. Jesus Hector everybody...it isn't that complicated to understand.
-
Anyone know what they were, or where to find them? I'm curious to know the amount of people that watched.
-
The student side thought it was hilarious. Although, I'd have to agree that if you're going to do it......go all out. If you aren't painted completely green and you're not completely naked.....you're a waste of time and effort for the police to deal with.

Well this certainly blew up into a hot thread faster than expected. I don't have the time nor energy (midterms...) to read all of the posts, but I'll take the -16 as meaning nearly everyone hated the post. 2 things. 1) I said it was debatable whether or not it was a field rush win. However, this WASN'T THE POINT. 2) The point was how ridiculous it is that they discourage it despite the fact that Mac has encouraged it, more than once, and Mr. Villareal has as well. Say that we get a name opponent in Apogee (since name is apparently all that matters, from what I've gathered...not a team's ranking), like for a fun example...Texas A&M. Let's hypothetically say that the Aggies are 6-1, ranked #15, and we beat them in the same dramatic manner we did yesterday. Does the security become a problem now? They were blocking every possible exit. The only way someone could get onto the field would be by using physical force to remove said security, and that likely wouldn't end well, unless a mass amount of people did it at once (unlikely, usually someone has to be the hero on their own). So yeah. You all totally missed the point. I personally think that beating a near top 25 team after being down 14 in the second half, while on national TV nonetheless, is a worthy field rush game. If you don't, that's fine. That isn't the point. The point is how friggin absurd it is that we're being denied the opportunity, when every other freaking D1 FBS level college football program does not actively seek to prevent that.

200 pound north south powerful runner....with a 4.38 forty??????? Get this kid in here stat!

Same here. Had to be someone noteworthy if Mac mentioned him.

Isn't it amazing how a win makes one forget any complaints they had during the game??? I can only really pick on one thing, and it isn't related to the team at all: Why the flying frog did our AD hire a security team that prevents us from getting on the field after the game??? Now, it's debatable whether or not this was a field-rush worthy win (I would vote yes: ULL was 4-1 and had beaten Troy really badly at Troy, when we lost to Troy at home...and ULL had votes for the last top 25 poll, meaning that they were considered essentially a top 30-35 team..the only thing they lack is a big name like a KSU has), but that's moot. Mac has encouraged it more than once. The freaking AD supported it. Yet, here we are in the final moments of a come from behind upset win at home on national TV, and there is a security staff member blocking EVERY possible entrance. This is ludicrous. This is a freaking college. That is what happens at college games. Why we're the only school in the country that actively seeks to PREVENT that from happening is not only retarded, but legitimately angering. I called one of the supervisors a few very naughty things that'd get me banned in a heartbeat if I posted it here. Me and many other students were very pissed off about the whole situation. So, gmg world, what do you think? Am I overreacting by being legitimately pissed off? Do I have a point? give me thoughts.

We were joking about that the whole night lol. If he had been N or the T, we would have looked ridiculous AND retarded on national TV. Instead, we looked like a couple of loners who couldn't find a U lol. I'll take that over the other option any day.
-
Oh, and if anyone saw two dude's with ridiculous face paint and an N and T painted on us, that was me. We had a U, but long story short, he forgot his ticket kn our room, walked back with another friend to get it, and other friend proceeded to vomit all over our room. So, the U got sucked into cleaning puke instead of attending.
-
My only comment on here is that it was NOT cold. At all. I was shirtless the whole night and walked out drenched in sweat (and sweaty body paint). If you were cold, you aren't doing it right.

I believe it really is the biggest game. This is an unprecedented opportunity to showcase our school on national television during a time where there are zero other college football games on (the fact that the Rangers aren't playing will help too...), and I really feel that a win will excite the fanbase beyond something we've ever seen, and that it'll do so much for publicity that we can't even begin to imagine right now. This is one of those opportunities that come across once in a decade or so...we have a brand new stadium, we're the "underdog" but at home, the game is on national TV, there WILL be at least 25K at the game....this is just such a perfect opportunity. Obviously, a win is just something to build upon. But the amount of building one can do off of this win is ridiculous.
-
My sources, which are about as reliable as Chris Broussard's sources, tell me that LSU already has the paperwork filled out to fire JJ in the event we lose.
-
Is the single biggest game in program history. In a dacade we'll look back on this game with either pride or grave disappointment. This is a rare opportunity to beat a better team at home on national TV, while showcasing the new stadium to the world. A win will put student pride at an all time high, it'll get the world to notice us, and it'll be the major turning point in the direction of this program. A loss means status quo, which is not okay with me at all.

We WILL show up tomorrow. 27-24 UNT

And now for some good news...Lance Dunbar

Nothing tells a coach "keep me the hell on the 53 man roster" like great effort on special teams. Gotta love it. -

That was a hell of a run by Felix. -
Accusations and insults are the most obvious indicator of someone who doesn't actually tolerate anything. I'm fine with venting. I just think it's challenging that we are sitting here calling Mac's coaching abilities into question because he reached the previous coach's 43 game win total in week 2 of season 2, and that we're all sitting here expecting things to change overnight without a struggle and hard work having to have been put in from the players, coaches, AD, fans, etc. This isn't going to be easy. ULM, Arky State, etc., are a flash in the pan. We're building a *&^% winner here. In 15 years, we can all look back on the early Mac years as progress and as something we should have all been very pleased with. We're North Texas, not Alabama. We aren't going to beat Houston on the road very often yet. Get over it people. EDIT: Oh, and a butt bong would be awesome. Because we all know I just love it up the ass so much that getting high that way would be ideal. (Obvious sarcasm is %^&* obvious). Okay, seriously, how am I still being allowed to post?? This is %^&* ridiculous. Boot me already!!
-
Don't worry, I'm aware of that sir.
-
I don't think we'll have much of a choice than to get past it. If a small time mentality continually permeates a place of nearly 40,000 students, we have problems here a lot bigger than sports.
-
Unfortunately, you take what you can get when you're under 21, and Grey Goose isn't happening in Denton County. The High Life is where it's at right now.
-
Oh this isn't nuclear. This is how my generation speaks when they have a point to make. Get used to it my fellow Mean Green lover, because in 30 years, %^&* will be all over the news.

The difference is Dickey actually won. He had a couple of crap years and was deservedly fired, but Dodge was and is worthless as a college head coach.
