Does anyone know the possible timeframe for when we might hear whether or not they get granted?

Very good article. Mr. "Ima Moron" really has no idea how difficult football practice actually is, nor how dangerous it is in the heat. I remember before my sophomore year, we hired some random strength coach to train anyone on the team that wanted to take part (it was RI high school, hence why it wasn't mandatory...not taken as seriously as football is here in TX haha). The dude was legit, had played D1 in college, and had been a personal trainer for quite some time. Even in 85 degree (but very humid) heat, the sessions were brutal. I got so dehydrated at one point that the colors of the grass and the sky were switched by my brain for a few seconds, and this was only 85 degrees without pads. Anyone that thinks it's safe for anyone of any physical condition at any age, let alone college, high school, and especially even younger levels, to be doing 2-a-days in 100+ degree heat in full equipment is out of their mind. When it comes to minors especially, any coach that tries to do that should be fired and imprisoned for some kind of torture charge, endangering of a minor charge, or whatever. And, god forbid someone dies, they should be charged with manslaughter. While I think the driving 100 mph comparison in the article is a bit unfair, it's still incredibly unsafe for a human being to be consistently pushed beyond their physical limitations for hours on end in extreme heat. How many kids need to die before people get a clue?

He's actually already sent threatening messages to me for my views. He deemed it perfectly acceptable to call people on being rude and for namecalling, but when I called him on being an inconsiderate asswipe, he spazzed. I got a message entitled "FU" in which he attempted to set up a fight with me, and he called me a fat MF...all because I called him a douchebag hahahaha. I'm assuming this guy has a track record of being a totally immature douche, can anyone confirm this? I find it hysterical that at 43 years old, people can still lack basic social skills, maturity, and sensibility, and find it okay to challenge someone 24 years younger to a fight.

That's actually the plan. Despite my atheism, I'd like to have a sound knowledge of the Bible, the Qur'an, etc. I have the Confucian Analects saved in a word document on my computer (although that's because I love Confucian philosophy, not because I want to learn it in order to refute it). I figure that if I am going to disagree with and not believe in something, I should know 100% about what it is. I'm getting there, but it's a long process.

I'm done with the arguing about this subject, but you really aren't doing yourself any favors by making such a rash generalization. Flaw 1: I do not, nor anyone else* on the East Coast (which includes incredibly conservative Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida), have an agenda. Flaw 2: I do not ignore science, in fact I am a science buff. The arguments you're making with science have nothing to do with marriage. Just because someone on a Christian Apologetic science website says that biology is a good reason to outlaw gay marriage doesn't make it a valid argument. You have yet to refute the fact that there are hundreds of other mammals who engage in homosexual activity, nor even acknowledge it. Flaw 3 (that I forgot to put originally): The East Coast is incredibly diverse. But I think the worst implication of your post is how you assume we have a similar political philosophy, or even how homosexuality is a part of politics. None of that is true. See first flaw for the list of very conservative East Coast states. That last statement you made is also pretty offensive and is loaded. Go live on the East Coast for awhile, instead of just taking what the conservative media spews about a location that isn't Texas or the Deep South as fact. Keep using science where it helps your cause, and ignoring it when it doesn't. That's the best way, right? Science is only correct and useful when it coincides with the Bible, right? *as a group. Obviously, there are people across the world with an agenda, but implying that there is some kind of East Coast agenda where we want to paint the world with our coastal qualities is absurd.

It's summer man! I don't have to worry about classes until 4 weeks from today. I don't like that you're insinuating naivety is the cause for my views, but I'm not going to start a war over that. I've worked part time while going to school full time, been a rock for my father when it should be the other way around, have a car payment, and have spent all 19 of my years in poverty. I'm young, but not stupid I'm not forcing any views, this is an open discussion and any and all viewpoints are welcome. That's America for ya my friend. Oh and, I'm attempting to cut down on the length. Any of my posts in any other topic have been and will be much shorter; I have a hard time being brief when it comes to civil rights. Perhaps Geography is the wrong major and I should become a writer haha.

It says North Texas.

Brett Favre 2.0, I didn't wanna just leave you hanging there (: I don't have the energy to go on one of my trademarked epic posts, so I'm just going to make 3 quick points in regards to your 3 points. 1) I actually didn't even watch the video, I just chimed in with my opinion and then debated. If you read all of my comments, I agree with this, and have said this. Funny thing is, the OT is the only place that mentions homosexuality as an abomination. Most mainstream Christians ignore this and make this the exception to their POV that the OT is to be disregarded. If the girl in the video is ignoring the fact that the OT isn't where Christians get their views and morals from, then she's ignorant and should be disregarded. 2) Again, I have actually addressed this. That is a valid point, however has nothing to do with marriage. Regardless of the legality of marriage, people are going to engage in gay sex in many different ways. Outlawing gay marriage does not make a gay person any less likely to give/receive anal or a BJ. 3) Once again, I did address this. And, again, this has nothing to do with marriage. You don't tell a heterosexual couple in which either person is infertile that they cannot get married, so what's the difference with gays? Given the number of children in the foster program, that are homeless, that are in orphanages, or in terrible but undocumented home situations, I don't think that a married couple being able to have children is a big concern. Besides, wouldn't it be nice if a nice married gay couple could have the same rights as a heterosexual married couple, and then in turn have a better situation in which to raise adopted children? I like how you neglected to address the incredible number of mammals who have been observed to naturally exhibit homosexual qualities, including actually engaging in very sexual gay activities. As I said before, you state true science. But that science has nothing to do with marriage, nor the right to marry. I'm legitimately done after this post though, the argument has hit a standstill and I see no point in continuing it. Peace out, my friends.

Makes sense, not sure how I missed that when I compared the list to the official roster haha. I agree with the nickname.

Who is Black Hole? I've heard him being referred to a few times, but even when I double check with the roster on meangreensports.com I can't find anyone missing...

TJ Taylor IS COMING to North Texas..It's Official
UNTstormchaser replied to All About UNT's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Amazing news. Time for us to make a Butler-like run in the NCAA Tourney, except actually win the title game (; -
I agree, but in the event that two potential employees are identical in qualifications, go with the UNT grad. If for nothing else, that person already has pride and will probably be more enticed to stay at the school long-term than a non-alum. I'd hate to have someone do great things in the athletic dept. just to see them get scooped up by their alma mater.

Chris Jones- Early NBA? Let's talk here.
UNTstormchaser replied to greenminer's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I completely agree. Unless he has worked harder than anyone else in the history of basketball this offseason, I don't see him elevating his game far enough to be drafted this year. There is a reason he isn't even mentioned as a top 100 NBA prospect for this upcoming year by anyone at this point, and remember, only 60 get drafted into the NBA each year. After 3 more very good or better seasons, possibly, especially if he excels next year and the year after in the absence of Mitchell and while playing in C USA. -

Does anyone know how well he played? -
I really can't wait to see this thing when I get back to campus.

Valid points from both of you. It's unfortunate that the NCAA is a money-grabbing corporation more than anything else (which I did already know). Such is life, I guess.
