  2. Coastal Carolina's men's soccer is leaving the Sun Belt and will begin play in Conference USA in the fall of 2021. The addition brings C-USA back up to 9 Men's Soccer programs. Coastal's move leaves the Sun Belt with only 3 Men's Soccer programs. Link: https://goccusports.com/news/2021/2/25/c...e-usa.aspx
  3. “According to the release due to COVID-19 protocols, tickets for the 2021 Air Force Reserve C-USA Basketball Championships Presented by Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Frisco will not be available for sale to the general public due to limited capacity. 4. Houston will host Western Kentucky on this Thursday night. huge game!! This could be the opportunity the conference was needing!
  5. UAB has really done a fantastic job. Soon to be the nicest stadium in CUSA.
  6. Chris Robison, former FAU QB is entering transfer portal.
  7. I'm saddened that the best program in C-USA is not able to play in a bowl. Many lessor ones did get to play. This does not at all seem fair given the circumstances.
  8. Asher O'Hara the QB for MTSU is entering the portal. Thought you guys would want to know.
  9. https://www.espn.com/college-football/st...lt-scandal More than two years after receiving an NCAA notice of allegations, and more than four years after firing football coach Art Briles and disciplining other administrators for their roles in a sexual assault scandal, Baylor officials are scheduled to appear before the NCAA Committee on Infractions on Monday.
  10. Rice required UTEP's football team be COVID tested upon arrival in Houston instead of before they left El Paso. Head Coach Dana Dimel agreed to that months ago. The team was tested upon arrival in H-Town, and then the game got cancelled. The players who failed their test had to take a bus 1000 miles back to El Paso. 12. The Big 10 is back and now even the Pac 12 and MWC are thinking about it -- , does this force ODU to call Judy with hat in hand?
  13. Interesting looks like Rice and UAB are at a higher level than the rest. Of course rankings can be subjective. 16 Rice 153 UAB 187 FIU 227 Charlotte 249 North Texas 258 ODU 272 FAU 284 Marshall 298-389 LA Tech 298-389 MTSU 298-389 WKU 298-389 USM 298-389 UTEP 298-389 UTSA https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges
  14. ACC men's basketball coaches are proposing an expanded 2021 NCAA tournament that would include every Division I team. "I am so proud to stand UNITED with every coach in the ACC in the belief that every Division I college basketball program should be allowed to participate in the NCAA Tournament this year!" Forbes tweeted. "This is what's best for our student-athletes, fans and the sport of college basketball. It will incentivize everyone that loves and cares about our great sport during these unprecedented times, and it will provide a safe environment for all to participate in. LET'S GET THIS DONE!" 16. OL Chandler Anthony elected the transfer portal. As a graduate transfer he is eligible to play right away.
  17. https://www.pilotonline.com/sports/colle...story.html A lot of really sad stuff here. including these things: - CUSA will give members about $1 million less than years past - Conference membership decisions need to be made” to reduce expenses and missed class time while generating more fan interest - All schools must be prepared for partial or total interruption of the 2020 football season.” - Losing the NCAA tournament resulted in a loss of $867 million Tough times for all I'm afraid.
  18. I know North Texas got the regular season Men's Basketball Title, and Rice got the Women's basketball title. But, what about baseball, softball, golf, ....? There isn't much to go on. Maybe the conference will just not declare champions for the majority of the spring sports.
  19. Thought you guys may want to cheer on a fellow conference mate over the holiday. All times are Central Standard Time. View Full Article

  22. https://www.news4jax.com/sports/2019/12/...l-program/ JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University will no longer play football and will discontinue its Division I program, effective immediately, the university announced Tuesday. The university cited “a data-driven analysis” as the reason for the major changes to the athletics program. “This was a difficult decision,” Athletic Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert said in a release announcing the change. “Our student-athletes and coaches in the football program are talented, tenacious and hard working. We respect them immensely. Reinvesting these resources into our other Division I programs better positions us to enhance the experience for all 450 student-athletes.” The university will offer full-tuition scholarships to every football student-athlete who chooses to stay at Jacksonville University until graduation and will honor the employment agreements for all football coaches.
