Kody Fulp. I call dibs on him as "adopted player" next year.
-
If you want an example of "crowd participation" you only need to look no further than College Station. No score board needed. All hand signals. Aggie Yells. And that is just "practice".
-
Just stop talking about it.....bad juju...

He will ""Save You MONEY!!!!""

What I remember parking is not an issue. Cash lots all around the stadium itself.
-
Yes I am! Best seat in the house!
-
I am talking full size, battle worn gear. They make players (ie parents) buy all that stuff if they want it. They don't give it away.
-
The best place is in the Plaza entrance of the football facility. The only problem with that location is that not that many "civilians" ever go over there. The Plaza on the east side of the stadium would be the next best place.

Their homecoming parade is quiet large. Lots of streets cut off so your "navigator" may not work very well. You will sit in the Northeast end of the visitors side. Next to the score board. Their homecoming court will be sitting under tents between visitors section and score board. They take their homecoming very seriously, very old school. VERY nice scenery.........in the old neighborhoods. I was through Ruston about a month ago. There are quiet a few new eating joints opened on the interstate since 2013. Board Walk (or whatever it is called) in Shreveport is pretty nice too if you are staying in one of the casinos.

Damn, I'd go broke buying all the jerseys and helmets now days........

I understand. But again, you can only call what you see. The "eye in-the-sky" sees everything most of the time. I have not worked with replay and don't know their "requirements" for a review. If it is blatant blown call, the official/crew/replay gets written up on it. Their review process is pretty cut throat.

From a different perspective. There are 8 stripes vs 22 players plus each sideline. There are things that are going to happen that no one sees. Officials are calling what they see or think they see in live action. The game looks totally different when you are five yards from the action and focusing on your keys as opposed to sitting in the stands and have a wide range of view. However, even officials will miss calls right in front of them that other officials 60 yards away can see plain as day. They are humans and make mistakes. I always offer people who complain about officiating opportunities to join the Chapter if they think they can do a better job of it. And yes, I too sit and yell "that's a Bullsh*t call" at the TV. I'd also give my left testicle to be in their shoes.

Enjoyed that offense did you? 600 yards rushing without a QB in a bowl game several years ago. The kid knows how to get production.

Yep! An Aggie quarterback strikes again.

DRC Sunday/Monday column: Attendance issues are not just about UNT
DT 90 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
It "offends" me that tu-A is used an example for "packed houses". The guys is College Station do a damn good job of packing the house for piss poor football too! There is no bigger student section in all of college football. They are getting good at leaving after halftime too.. No one creates a "tradition" overnight better than the Aggies... I am just happy I have an entertaining football team to pull for in Denton that knows how to score points. I should change my handle to Mean Green Ag. GMG! -
Not TCU....

Cowboys' blue jerseys...... Never ever.....

Its right there with the "Stand". Watching both of those series together equals 10 cups of coffee!

I just saw the replay of that particular play. In that situation, no, that's not targeting. Sturm is a runner still moving forward and is not a defenseless player. It's a big hit but not all big hits are targeting.
-
You will seldom, if ever get a targeting call when a runner (not encumbered by another tackler) and tackler go head to head. It will only get called when the target cannot defend itself.

Ryan informed me that former D-line coach Mike Nelson passed away Saturday. He was on the Mean Green staff from 2011-2013 and retired after the Heart of Dallas Bowl. He was a true football coach in everyway and good guy. His old school football humor will be missed.
-
He is very quiet and intense on the sideline but can let it rip when he needs to. Saw him tear his starting LB a new a44hole on the sideline at the Baylor game when the player complained about something. He sat the rest of the game.

North Texas upset over TV ad that calls Michigan State 'Mean Green'
DT 90 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football

How does this 2017 UNT team compare to the 2013 team?
DT 90 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Hell, this Ol' Ag is even giddy about this team. I am partial to the '13 team but I will say this '17 is good and fun to watch. I would hesitate to compare and to pick who is better. They two totally different teams. Chico's offense could do this except it was never allowed to. If you doubt that, go watch Denison High school. DT would be putting up numbers like this in Harrell's offense too. Wilson and Byrd are very different style of RBs. I's take both is a heart beat. The defenses are totally different in their schemes. You really cannot compare them. In '13 the d-line was Orr's security blanket and not allowed to do what this years D-line does. '17 the d-line's ears are pinned back every play. Both ran/run their schemes very good. The UTSA game will be very good! They have very good WR's and a QB that can get them the ball. D backfield will certainly be tested.
