2011 Season - 5,264 miles and 84 hours driving. Didn't go to FIU. All of it was AFTER attending Friday night football game. With 7 road games this year, I will easily break my Personal Record.

If Phil Steele spent half as much time talking about this years team as he did rehashing the last five years, or more, his article on the Mean Green might be halfway informative. Talk about a lot irrelevant information.

275 right now.

I am very partial to No. 90.

Actually had that happen several places in Afghanstan and Iraq when wearing a "North Texas" t-shirt in the gym. -
B1G wants the Bowls Games for playoff.

Jerry is salivating over this. -
No. He was at OLB at the Spring Game. Things could have changed since then too. Just because you are a player parent doesn't mean you have the latest news.

This coming season is even more important now that a new conference is on the horizon. An overwhelming successful year sets the stage for entry into the new conferernce. It shows that the progress made by this coaching staff was no fluke. It also points out that North Texas was well worth the consideration of being chosen to make the move. Success of the field this year and the move next year will amount to nothing but good things in the upcoming recruiting season. Never put off until tomorrow what can be accomplished today.

He is still there. He is now number 13.

La Tech Projects 5K Traveling Fans To Each C-USA Division City
DT 90 replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
The only game in which The Mean Green parents sat in the end zone the last two years was at Clemson and it was a blessing because we were in the shade. Every place else is about the same place as we have sat at Denton. Good for LaTech for being able to take 5K to each out of town game, I challenge the Mean Green Faithful to be as plentiful as the UH traveling crowd as the Mean Green travels this year and next. -
Nope! TCU was. No Division 2nd place team should have ever been allowed to play in the National Championship game.

UAB plays at Legion Field in Birmingham. Relatives there tell me there is a reason Alabama and Auburn do not play there anymore. It is very dilapidated.

Is Tulane moving to a stadium on campus?

Why just one? What fun is that? All the Texas schools for sure. FIU because they are FIU. Marshall because of the color of their jerseys. Tulsa and LaTech for good measure -
UNT has a lot more in common with Baylor than you think. Same size city but with much small student population. They receive very little "normal" support from common (non-BU alum) Waco citizens. They are very much a band wagon crowd. However, this year has been nuts. Baylor is putting a lot of effort into engaging the local populous though, specially after this years sports accomplishments. Lots of BU gear being sold at Walmarts and such to the t-shirt supporters. You do get a lot of local, non-partisan fans when a big name school comes to town though. The other school which I am familiar with, Texas A&M, is a lot differnt. Very few of the common (non-Aggies) B/CS population attends A&M games. The difference there is that you get 30,000 students at each home game. JUST students. You also cannot get a hotel room within 45 miles of BCS on game weekends. There are few, if any, casual non-partisan fans at all. Tickets just cost too much, if you can get them. When UNT starts winning consistantly, and they will, the locals will show up. We, as in the Mean Green supporters, need to work on the non-football oriented students, I have discovered there are quiet a few of those at UNT. They don't have anything to compare to so just show them that the atmosphere is a lot of fun and they will become avid fans. Several that sit close to me in the parent section have a great time. They ask LOTS of questions. Converting them to the Mean Green one at a time....

Well the dinner after the scrimmage was the player picnic with all the players families. There were also a LOT of recruits there, I would say there were at least 30 to 40 there plus families. Mind you there were signees and 2014 recruits. It was a good day for all.

It turned out the way it was supposed to turn out. The Green Team doing all the scoring and the White Team not scoring at all; which is a very good thing. There are plenty of new weapons in the arsenal. I think the MG will be MUCH improved over last year, also a very good thing.

Your explanation is dead on. They can enroll in any school on a part time basis meaning they cannot take more than 9 hours.

Sometimes there is no choice but to Grayshirt and to the benefit of the athlete to do so.
