  1. The players love these games. They get tested by the "best". How many O-lines can say they didn't give up a sack against BOTH Alabama and LSU? or a defense that has more sacks against these same two teams? That means something and the confidence carries through the entire season.
  2. Ryan - Sat at home and screamed at the TV.
  3. What? You mean there are other things happening on the field?
  4. Leading D-lineman in tackles - Tackles 3 Assist 3 Total 6 TFL 1.0 Yards -1
  5. Counted 4 DTs playing last night; Cantly, Abbe, Lincoln and Orr, and 4 DEs: Mason, Bellazin, McCoy and Obi.
  6. Going prices for A&M home game tickets, if you can find them, are north of $200. Away games are the only way most Ags can afford to see them in person.
  7. He didn't play during Spring game, missed the entire Fall Camp and is missing the LSU trip; good luck pulling him.
  8. Linc was his back up last year. I didn't see that changing.
  9. Two different positions.
  10. If I see another "orange school" shirt at a UNT football game........I mean really.
  11. You get to sit with the players crazy parents!
  12. If DT 90's 70 year old grandmother with a hip replacement can walk from Fouts parking lot for EVERY home game last season, there is absolutely no excuse for others not to make the same walk. No excuses. Get your rears to the games.
  13. Taking donations to feed DT 90.
  14. Could it be that they are all 5 Star/Underarmor/U.S. Army/High School/NCAA All-Americans/ finalist for every collegiate award there is?
  15. By the way, he is practicing within limitations and has not missed out any conditioning since the injury occured.
  16. He tore it back it at the end of June during workouts. Its not pulled off the bone and is similar to a pulled hamstring so no surgery required. It is a 6 to 8 week rehab period. He is doing well. Knowing him, he could probably go against LSU but they will hold him out at least the first two games to make sure he is good to go. I don't talk about injuries until the coaches mention them.
  17. Very true.
  18. Scrimmages are generally held on Saturday mornings. They are not open to the public.
  19. Damd, wished they had left it at 6:00pm.... Am really looking forward to driving all night.
  20. He can still Gray Shirt and it won't cost him any eligibility.
  21. Applications for in-coming freshmen at both TCU and Baylor are sky high this year. I personally know one kid who went from being a BIG TTU fan and was going to Lubbock who now is going to Baylor just because of BUs success in all sports this past year.
  22. The conditioning work outs are not as eye opening as the first time in pads and contact. For sure work outs are on a different level but the speed and contact of the the first practice is mind blowing no matter what classification of high shcool you come from. Most adapt very quickly, a few don't adapt at all. Very sureal times as a parent though.
  23. I hardley ever see anyone at practices, even other parents. Parents have to notify the coaching staff they are going to be there and see a specific individual or you don't get in. Most you see in the stands or on the/sideline is a former player or two or maybe a guest of the coaches. Don't know anything about MGC members being there. . I don't know of any other university in Texas that has open pracitces in the Fall. You certianly cannot watch ATMs,Baylors or UTs. I know membership in the 12thMan Foundation doesn't get you anything but a car sticker. Don't really know what all the hubbub is about. Practices are boring to watch. If I didn't have a vested interest I certainly wouldn't be there and I am a die hard football nut as there is.
  24. August 6th. I don't recall the practices being open.
