  1. There are reasons an offensive lineman is an offensive lineman. The D-line guys will take care of their business.
  2. From personal experience, "Offical Visits" are during the winter on designated weekends, generally during basketball season. That is when the recruits and their parents are "wined and dined" so to speak for the weekend. Recruits will generally be paired with a player. They have various activities and meeting for the parents too. A recruit can have as many unofficial visits as they want. They just don't get the "treatment" except for game tickets. That is generally what you see during football season. They do get to get to meet with coaches and see a lot of gameday activities.
  3. It was good. He was ready for Spring but they decided to hold him out and see what the young guys could do. He went through individual drills and seperate work outs but didn't participate in any scrimages.
  4. Try doing it three years in a row. DT-90 Discus 07,08 and Shot 09.
  5. I prefer not to get into discussion about that out of consideration of my source. I can safely say that "Zero" is Sir Calvin Wallace's nickname from high school.
  6. I was very impressed with 90's performance. His sideline stance was perfect; helmet on, foot placement, right hand on hip. Applauded at the right time and offered the appropritate amount of encouragement to his team mates. I was unable to ascertain his hand cup technique during his "swat to the butt" of team mates as they came off the field but knowing him, he had it down. Even had the water bottle held at the correct distance from his mouth when he drank. I'd give him an "A" for effort. Thought I'd interject a bit of levity to the thread.
  7. No. 90 had surgery to repair a dislocated knee cap over Thanksgiving. He has rehabed and is able to go. He is participating in all drills but is held out of the team scrimmage segments.
  8. UNT got to McCarron 4 times, got to the LSU QB once. UNT gave up zero sacks to both Alabama and LSU. Obviously these were two different UNT teams but both of those teams run traditional drop back passing games. It is a heck of a lot easier to get to those type of QBs(UNT included) than trying to get to Klien, Aplin, Browning, Keenen or any of the assorted QBs that can get the ball out of the pocket in 1.8 Seconds from the snap. NFL teams cannot do it. That is not playing the numbers game, that is just fact. No , I don't think those teams are worried about trading d-lines. I also know that KSU, Alabama and LSU didn't throw the book at UNT but I do know what Saban and Snyder were doing on the sideline during those games, specially during the first halves. It was not pretty which tells me the UNT was doing something right. D1 D-linemen are about as rare a commidity as there is. Lot of prototypical D1 highschool D- linemen look real good when they go against kids that weight 100 pound less than them but it is a very different world when they move up to take on high caliber D1 O-linemen. More fail than succeed, even at the Top Tier schools. Yes the ranks are thin and small but I do disagree about your last statement. I do believe that the Mean Green will have a winning season. Tried not to sound too much like a Dad.
  9. How many sacks did LSU and Alabama have against North Texas as opposed to North Texas against LSU and Alabama?
  10. 90 is also rehabing from surgery and will not take part in the Spring Game. Will be good to go in August. The young guys are going to get more reps than they ever wanted.
  11. The lower horseshoe was constructed in 1929. The second deck was added in the 50's and 60's. The existing Pressbox and Third decks were added in 1980. The North Endzone was built in 1999. In regards to the comments about SEC letting ATM in with Kyle in its present condition..... One only has to visite Denny-Bryant and Death Valley to see that the old school SEC stadiums are in no better condition. They basically old stadiums with LOTS of additions.
  12. Starts Wednesday.
  13. I have heard that scouts are very high on him. Very big frame with wing span and moves well.
  14. + 4 Going Saturday morning.
  15. Klein's 39 RUSHING TDs last year is a NCAA record. What do you think he is best at?
  16. To see the Aggies and the Band... that's cheap!
  17. 1 Tackle for Loss and 1 Fumble Recovery. K-State - Continue to keep Guards and Center occupied to let #35 roam free!
  18. I cannot post photos but here is the best I could find. http://www.replayphotos.com/texasamphotos/kyle-field-print/kyle-field-red-white-and-blue-out_741285.cfm
  19. With all the talk about "White Outs" and "Green Outs" an in honor of what today is about,11 Years ago this week 5 people pulled together to accomplish what many said could not be done. http://www.aggieathletics.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=205276289
  20. I will be in the Little Apple.
  21. Eligibility starts the second you enroll full time in school. You have 5 years, including redshirt, to play 4 seasons ; walk-on or scholarship- makes no difference.
  22. Sorry - He didn't make the trip.
  23. $10
  24. Ryan played in front of 25,000 in high school and was raised going to A&M and Baylor home games. He would play the game on a peewee field with lawn chairs on the sidelines. It doesn't matter to him. He did have a blast at Alabama last year though.
