  1. The recruiting process is actually built around the all mighty dollar. Randy Rogers and all the "recruiting services" and all the "camps" are not free. No different than in baseball.
  2. HUDL is just a means to host video and for coaches to pass game film back and forth. Kids cannot even get the game film/or make highlights without coaches "permissions".
  3. At AAC before the Stars game.
  4. Sorry, There is only one 12th Man Kick Off Team.
  5. The Outline of Texas is for victories over Texas schools. They place a star "sticker" that represents each of the Texas schools that they beat. They have done this since the beginning of the Big 12. I would add the Texas Flag on it, nothing esle.
  6. https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=698467083506773&set=a.498369946849822.116596.306949465991872&type=1&theater
  7. UNT is not the only one searching. Returning DT average weight: Rice: 283 Houston: 282 UCF: 275 Tulsa: 266 La Tech: 286 UNT: 272 UNT '13 Season: 276 UNT '10 Season: 300 UNT '13: gave up 120 yds per game and 10 rush TDs UNT '10: gave up 185 yds per game and 23 rush TDs. Bigger is not always better.
  8. Here is your chance!
  9. Austin Orr -surgery, probably out for Spring.
  10. Really a good kid. He is not on campus at this time and Unknown on eligibity status (redshirt or not), didn't ask him that. Grades are no issue, computer science major. Says he wants to transfer to UNT and walk on. Coming from a highly disciplined high school program at China Spring was unhappy with the undisciplined atmoshphere at A&M Commerce. Says if Ryan likes the coaches at UNT, that is the place for him. Played Dline in high school sparingly (ie. goal line) because coach does not play his starting olinemen both ways. Kid is very strong and is a solid 280.
  11. He maybe heading to Denton.... 6'0" 285 lbs Wants to play DL. http://lionathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1531&path=football
  12. It is satisfying for me as a fan of the team and of all the young men who endured not only the tough losses but also endured all the injuries, the surgeries and rehabs that a lot of the have gone through.
  13. Every play of every game. Memories to last a lifetime.
  14. Keeping your Jersey is part of the bowl "experience"/ "package". Has been at least for the past 30 years. They say if you want them, they are yours.
  15. They knew/had an idea that he was going out after this seasonand was not directly involved in recruiting. Also the position coaches do not recruit their postions, they recruit a geographical area. 90's recruiting coach was the defensive backs coach (Buckles).
  16. No. 1 Factor-- Oppertunity to play immediately. No one ever considers themselves a "developemental project".
  17. 13 Schools serve beer in their stadiums, Cougar High and Tulane being two of them. University of Minnesota tried it and actually lost money.
  18. We are praying that is the case.
  19. He is already a Grad Student, has been for last two seasons, and graduating with his Masters in May. He is already an Intern under Wintrich working with all sports. Started last Monday.
  20. No, that is not allowed by the NCAA. What 93-98 stated. They can receive one if their "athletic scholarship"/eligibility is exhausted. Joe Blow student with an Academic Scholarship can "walk on" though. "Academic Assistance" is what D-III schools do because they don't have athletic scholarships.
  21. "Is Mr. Boutwell going into coaching? Will he be pursuing a career outside of football?" The next "Frank Wintrich".
  22. #90 First time in 16 years..... no more games to look forward too.
  23. The "rust" is actually what protects the steel from corrosion. Check all the new overpasses around DFW. All of the steel parts are just like that. Worst thing in the world is to paint it.
