I am perplexed at this argument we do run an offense. Do you understand how offense works? There are just a few base sets and that is it. You have motion, flex,and shuffle. Those are the three basic offenses. Unt runs two of the three. Outside of these you change it up sometimes go 2 low or 3 low and then design 4 or 5 go to plays. That is it. Most of this is on the players and the pg.he is the coach on the floor. He needs to be making the calls and getting his teammates involved. It is his job to let the know where to go. I have not seen this as much as I would like though.

It is illegal to run a true zone. That is all I was saying. Happened a few nigghts ago against the mavs. Murphy was splitting his man and the "elbow" and they gave em the tech shot. It is not a zone like you will see in college. But it's not worth arguing. People on here seem to be bitter and know it all. I will enjoy watching unt this season and still have faith. We are a good team and I will give both coaches into next year. Even mitchel does leave I will still cheer the team on. They could lose every game next year and I will still show up. It's entertainment and not the end of the world. Though perhaps the mayans did predict this. The destruction of unt sports in December 2012. Who knows.... Just enjoy the ride. I'm more concerned about conference USA becoming the sunbelt version two..

Wow. Give them a year already. I have not seen so much whining and complaining before in my life. We could be doing a lot better. But we are better off at this point the sewers last year record wise. The coach is not the issue (yet). He did not miss the free throws and he did not turn over the ball coming up the court. He runs a better offense the Johnny. He utilizes the flex which is a pretty common offensive set in the NCAA. He also runs the 4 out 1 in motion that Johnny ran which is miserable to watch! Swing the ball around the perimeter for 20 seconds and then jack up a shot. Only with Tristan we hit the shot.... On the substitutions it has at least gotten better. Tonight he played 6 main guys. Where exactly has Benford gone wrong? we cannot see the practice but to me it looks like we need to work out some kinks and get the ball in the hole. it is hard to break a zone. There is a reason it is illegal in the NBA and it can really slow down the game. It has obviously slowed down our offense and this is where Benford takes some blame and needs to work. I have not seen a lot of movement off the ball (off ball screens). Penetration would be nice but the lane is so clogged!

You never put in detlef schrempf? The easiest player to catch fire in the game behind Chris Mullins.

I completely missed the game getting stuck in traffic coming back from San Antonio. Almost 3 hours to go 2 miles!!!!! Without ranting I did check the box score and I liked what I saw. I will say we need Patton and colman to step it up or we might be in trouble. We need a second solid big along side mitchel.

Oh sorry... I was unaware we got rid of Mcarney and hired a new African American coach. Also poor les miles, why did LSUnyounget rid of him and who is the new African America coach there that would have allowed them to qualify? Wasn't les miles loved in lsu?

Here is my dream... We sign Wesley, Friar and Nunn. Next year we welcome back Walton and Taylor to hopefully help the perimeter game. That leaves 2 more ships. I am not interested in Norris and I am unsure of this big Brazilian kid. We do need another solid post player since we are losing everyone down low. Then maybe a solid 6'3" combo guard who can knock down the 3.

I have yet to ever comprehend how we could play solid d and a team shoots 50 percent then they go on into the next game and miss wideopen 3s and lay ups. My guess UAH spent all of their energy on us and are pretty much about to just drop... Only possible answer. Adrenaline rush is gone. They out rebounded us and they are down 16 on the boards nearing half. I hope our entire team is there tonight watching this game in person and getting fired up!
