Who said they talked to espn execs? Not me but whatever you say boss. I said I asked and they gave me the answer they knew. That cleared it up. Though it does not explain how people can go back to college and play again when they are in their 30s. Or why my friendhad paper work to fill out every year. He was told he gets 4 years on the field for the rest of his life. Not a 5 year plan...

In fact they have been there every year for the past 4 years at least once each of the years.

They were there about a month ago to work the Ryan game. The same people do all the work for the metroplex. Outside of the longhorn network which comes out of Austin. The same people work every game. They are espn employees though they are mostly recent college grads trying to actually work their way up. And yes they would know what they are talking about because I asked why they film the hs games but not out at unt.

You never lose eligibility... You have to play four years... It does not matter ifnyou re 24 or 44. I could care less what you think. I have seen the paper work from the NCAA.

so? They only count years you play...he should have 3 years left because he has only played one. He could keep going and play when he is 40 as long as his eligibility is still good. With a few exceptions I know.... My buddy transferred here from k state where he play db for 3 years and sat out two years at unt and the NCAA said he could not play at unt because he did not keep his eligibility up via paperwork the previous two years. He said if je had done it he could have played. He was on scholarship all 3 years at kasnsas state.

The espn people come and work out at the ch Collins complex and they said they do not show UNTsports often because of the lack of an audience. Every time they show a game does terrible veiwrship on the neilson rating. They said more people view the eu ah high school football hames nationally then anything unt.

Does anyone know how long it will last? Also will the sound be fixed this year? And the lighting? When I was younger I went to see the Harlem globetrotters play in the orange seat days..... They had colored lights and great sound! They could put patterns on the ground and have half the court be blue and the other orange. Like the mavs do to start the game. What happened to those lights? We really need a new stadium!

I do not mind having tj sit a year. He just adds depth and experience to our class next year... We have jones Williams Williams mitchel and colman. I think we will do ok, especially if the real Patton shows up! Having tj wait a year just keeps us competitive the next 3 years...
