major thought on the new system .... wish there was a way to factor in a "cinderella" team out of one of the "mid-majors". we would need to have a 16 team playoff system caping on new years day with the championship game. every year in basketball and baseball, you have an under dog team or two that does well.

They look over some one like UNT to the next week and then all of a sudden, you get beat and ruin your chance for Nat'l championship.

The "star" system was created and now managed by a group of people who never stepped on a college football field and most on a high school field. One of the best QB's I have ever seen was rated 3 star...barely and NO ONE in Texas except UNT offered him. He is now at Michigan and will be the heir to Denard. Star system is for boosters to measure the success of the football team. Wins are the way the coaches measure the success of a football team.

After spring football at colleges and high schools, we do hit a dry spell. We are enjoying a week of vacation before my son, Connor, a new incoming freshman has to report for second summer session and conditioning. He has been talking to some of the upper classmen that had to be there for first session. . .and he reports back to me some of the excitement around MEAN GREEN FOOTBALL. These boys along with Coach Mac cant wait to go to LSU.

i believe this is the first year for the DMAC / UNT Texas tour.

Mesquite in the morning and then Chapel Hill in the evening. Then the road show moves to Houston and San Antonio. This is a GREAT way for some of these kids in Houston, San Antonio to see and hear Coach Mac.

Went to mini camp tonight in Arlington. About 70 campers. Coach Mac is selling!!!
