Indoor Football Practice Facility Down the Road?
trussbussdad replied to All About UNT's topic in Mean Green Football
NOT a waste of funds!!! Indoor facility is a huge selling feature in recruiting. Just think of the benefits: 1) weather ( heat, cold, wet ) is not an issue 2) can be a huge recruiting advantage going into CUSA 3) can be used by other sports -
were there only 12 -15 players there?

i emailed him and asked and he said he thought so. no worries

my son said only a few of the upper classmen were coming to sign..no freshman. he had a meeting. then i heard from him and from coach conley that it was season tickets only. little dissapointed in the communication. wish we were there, but too late to come up from arlington
-
we were going but found out it was primarily for season ticket holders?

Rockwall Heath Lineman Chase Regian chooses ULM
trussbussdad replied to Harry's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
agree 110% UNT90. Connor visited ULM right before his UNT visit. Night and day difference. -
LOVE IT!!!

Anybody notice it seats only 45,000? Not exactly planning for success for a Big 12 school. Believe the smallest stadium was Ok State at 60k.

Would like to see some pics and info from summer conditioning. I hear Wintrich is "having fun".

very disappointed that this topic showed up here. there is a time and a place for this and this is not the time, and certainly not the place. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Someone want to give me a GMG??? -
and I quote.... "SMU will name Tennessee-Chattanooga athletic director Rick Hart to the same post, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed Sunday to ESPNDallas.com"

Post spring football series Part 10 — UNT Coaching
trussbussdad replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I agree 110%. I know the coaches are salesmen, but this staff is "different". After Connor signed, he kept in touch with Coach Simmonds every week and usually talked to Coach Mac once every 3 - 4 weeks. After Connors visit, he was sold. He other offers including a last minute offer from SMU, but he was sold on UNT, Coach Simmonds and Coach Mac....he drank the GREEN KOOLAID. I am no expert in college football...but I did play and coached for a couple of years in small college...I told Connor he will leave UNT with at least 2 rings; whether it be bowl or conf championship,,,he will get more than one ring.- 4 replies

Rudy, Who was your coach when you were there? Head coach was Charlie Qualls for me. I played noseguard and my d line coach was Gus Hernandez. He was a great guy...just passed away few months ago. My oldest son is a freshman at NT playing football.
-
Rudy....I agree on Forester 110%. I went to North Mesquite and we played Thomas Jefferson there. As you stated, was thin carpet over concrete. But probably even worse than that was the old Highland Park field. No grass, no lines. When it was dry, it was like playing in the dust bowl, when it was raining it was even worse.
