The GB members are really busting their butts this year. Their big exhibition performance is earlier than most years, the night of September 29th at Apogee (BOA High School Marching Band Competition). Their annual "Sounds of the Stadium" concert is October 22nd at the Super Pit. Mark your calendars, folks!

Good thing he's gonna average 40-20-10-10 easily. He's a lock.

I think it's worth emphasizing that for just about every single game we play this season, we WILL have the best player on the floor. (By FAR, in most cases.) TMitch has got some D1 experience under his belt now, and says he's improved a lot over the summer. It's really crazy to think about the fact that last year he hadn't played a single game at the college level, and was not officially a part of the team until the 2nd semester, yet he was still pretty dominant. Also, this team is HUNGRY. We may have been young last year, but Tony was devastated that we didn't win the tournament, and I'll be damned if CJ and JW aren't working like they have something to prove after letting their team down last year. I think a Top 25 ranking at some point is very possible if we play like we are capable of playing. Look out.

I was also very disappointed with his rebounding at times, despite his size and mobility. Lack of aggressiveness on the boards, imo.

He also competed in the 3-pt competition at halftime. He didn't win (3-way tie for second, I believe), but his shot was the purest/most refined in my opinion, and he also took his time much more than anyone else so he did not take as many shots overall. (All "FWIW")

Anyone else remember at the SBC tourney when they ran the iso to Niko as time was running out in the 1st half? Can't remember if it was in the quarters or semis, I don't believe it was in the finals, but Niko took it all alone, drove and faded away to the right a la Dirk Nowitzki and put it in off the glass to end the half. Oh maaan what a sick shot that was.

Are you sure that's what he meant? I heard Benford say that too but I thought it was in the same sentence/thought as him talking about recruiting JW while he was at Marquette, perhaps meaning that JW has grown 2 inches since high school as opposed to over the past few months? I wasn't sure, though.

FWIW, at the Coaches Caravan thing yesterday Coach Benford during his speech described Coleman as "really, really good" and seemed excited about him.
