It sounds like he's making excuses before the season is even over. Maybe they see the writing on the wall that the season is doomed. Who knows. Whatever. The players will hear every word he said. Hell, recruits may as well. If they are going to make excuses publicly then at least it tells me why the players quit playing hard last week. One thing I've never really seen UNT do in my 21 years following UNT is lay down the way they did Saturday. And those were some brutal 21 years of football to follow. I don't even know what to think about the state of the program now.

I'm with you. I don't think any of them are D1 QBs at the moment. DW has potential but as of now all of them are a punchline.

I have to agree with UNT90. We don't have a D1 QB on our roster unless Means is legit. However, he's a redshirt so it doesn't matter yet. The staff has failed very badly in this area of recruiting. The defense isn't as good as last year put they are being put in very bad situations.

This is worse than losing to UAB for the first time in 95. We've had bad teams in the past but this team is bipolar. We either play great or get our teeth kicked in by mediocre teams. Hell, we had 15 yards passing against Texas and left with our dignity. I guess this is why I'm she'll shocked.

Naw, always been a Cowboys fan and have plenty of shirts. I've spent decades having both my teams be mediocre or down right bad. I was even part of a couple really bad UNT teams but we're an embarrassment and I'm tired of it. I hate to be negative but being UNT fan is like being a battered wife. North Texas didn't mean to beat us last night. North Texas loves us and is sorry. And we keep taking North Texas back. Then North Texas comes home late and beats us again. We'll forgive and forget...

Right? UNT's poduct is crap. Even I am about done with UNT sports. There's better ways to spend my time and money. Last season was a fluke. UNT deserves to be ignored. Go Cowboys!!!

The downtown Double Tree is great and all but downtown EP still sucks. It's not like the Chihuahuas are playing either. There's a few awful bars downtown.

I'm from El Paso and recently moved away but can point you in the right direction. If you want to PM me with what your looking at I'd be glad to help. There's a lot of places to avoid in EP. Not just Mexico as other people post. However, there are some good places too. I'm staying at the Holiday Inn on Sunland Park and I-10. It's a nice hotel not far from the stadium. Plenty of places to eat and drink close by that are kid friendly. I'm very very partial to the westside of town. A lot of visiting fans stay at this hotel as well. I've got little guys too and can give you details on places that all y'all will enjoy.

Easiest way to view this defeat is we lost the initiative. The game was over when they demoralized the team with the onside kick. Indiana went straight for our teams throat early. They were aggressive while taking calculated risks on 4th downs or onside kicks and it paid off. They had a very good game plan and were better prepared. Hats off to them. We don't have a bad team, we just got out played in every aspect of the game today. Some days you get the bear and some days the bear gets you. We can still hit six and make a run at the conference.

We need a three and out to keep the momentum!
