UNT to move ahead with plan to purchase Sack N Save
UNTexas replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Bravo -
Very well said. It isn't a partisan issue. It's a class thing. They have none.

I would have loved to have Ann Richards speak at my graduation even though Bush was the Governor and running for president at the time. I thought her politics were garbage but she was a cool lady. I just don't get these lunatic people who freak out about the little things in life. Abbott will probably have a great speech lined up with good stories to tell. Like him or hate him but he's an intelligent guy with a above average biography.
-
I love the anti-Abbott crowd being so "disgusted" by Abbotts supposed intolerance for certain minorities while they sling offensive intolerant rhetoric towards a man in a wheel chair. The hypocrisy is great. I just hope these jackasses don't embarrass UNT. Side note: Has any left leaning speakers gotten crapped on by right leaning students at UNT?
-
Right? Maybe people should read why some posts are disappointed at people who will probably try and make a scene that will embarrass UNT.

That's completely false. She's good looking. A bit older than I am but that's cool. I can speak for most men when I say we've personally listened to tons of nonsense out of attractive women. She might sound like Charlie Brown's teacher but I'd listen. This is beyond dispute. This is a fact.

I see you left out "If not, show a little class and be thankful the governor is coming to UNT. In the past that never would have happened." I think these students, whom I never said their political affiliation, should show a little respect for our governor and while they are at it show some class, maturity, and humility. I can't think of a time when a sitting governor has ever taken the time to come to UNT. Respect the office if not the man. Act like you've been there and be a class act. It's not a lot to ask for.

MGB video: McCarney names top three in QB race
UNTexas replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
So, we are in trouble at QB next year. Last year was one of the worst QB performances by any team I've ever witnessed. -
Exactly. These douchebags go to a state school who's governor is coming to speak. Its good for the university. If they don't like it, go to a private school or a state that aligns with their agenda. If not, show a little class and be thankful the governor is coming to UNT. In the past that never would have happened. And Eagle1855 is hilarious. I love that post.

Austin would be a great bowl trip. I'd love it.

Could you educate us on how to beat UTSA? Anything helps!

I have to agree. They said they were going to really improve the schedule with better facilities. It is better but Abilene Christian types? Come on. I'd rather try to get Tech, Baylor, or TCU type teams scheduled. It's better for recruiting and the fans. I still like the Army & SMU series though. However, 5 home games is pure sadness...

We can't play an FCS team for Homecoming. It's just pathetic. Several of my friends aren't going to come in town to watch a garbage game like that. And they wonder why they have trouble getting alumni to come to games. (Outside of the few hardcore alumni anyway) I hope they don't do it but they will.
-
The scheduling is so piss poor. I use to think they were doing a good job but it's straight up ridiculous now. Question: Is Homecoming going to be against Portland State so zero people care to come watch the game?

MGB: Tuesday practice notes and a sad news item
UNTexas replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Sad news all around in that article. -
It's not really a rivalry when they traditionally own us. Although last year felt great watching our guys beat them so badly. Except the bs garbage time touchdown. I wanted the shutout. Oh well, there's always 2015.

Name one positive thing about 2015 UNT Football
UNTexas replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I enjoy football season. Whether it's college or pros. From the way it looks, UNT will have another poor season with pathetically few home games but oh well. I'll still have fun after the games. -
Rules are rules. Sorry UAB...

Why Andrew McNulty could be North Texas' most important player
UNTexas replied to GOMG2013's topic in Mean Green Football
Please don't mention that 2012 Troy game again. It hurt my soul to watch that game. -
I didn't read it either and enjoyed the ad.
