I'd be so happy if McNulty had a great senior year. He and the team could repair RV's awful scheduling of so few home games and deliver us one more home game on December 26, 2015 in Dallas versus a Big 12 opponent. That should be the goal of this season. To hell with hit 6.

I'd say we played A&M just as good if not better in 97 than the 13 did versus Georgia. The 97 team also beat Tech the week before playing A&M. UNT played tougher schedules back then. RV has done a lot for UNT but his scheduling prowess is a joke.

After watching last year. It has to be a good thing. That team was terrible last year. I'm still annoyed I spent time and money to go to El Paso to watch UNT completely lay down. Losing is one thing but to just give up and have the audacity to joke and laugh on the sideline while you're getting thumped by freaking UTEP of all teams. It still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. They can't be worse or have less heart than last season.

Not everyone here hates SMU. I'll cheer for every Texas school when they're not playing us, except one, and that's because I lived in their town for ages. I digress, your fans know how to get under these guys skin pretty easily. Actually, no one has to say anything at all because the black helicopter crowd has to blame someone for our alma mater's short comings. UNT has been it's worst enemy for a long time but things are improving of late in my opinion. It ought to be a fun day/night on Saturday.

Anyone know what the split was Saturday? Obviously the first game against #4 bring the masses... Any idea why Jones stopped caring? We went through that with Simon in the 90s. He started solid and just became down right weird and some thought hateful. The players still played their hearts out for each other, love of the game, and respect for their position coaches (who is the coach the players basically live with day in and out) even after they lost respect for the head coach. I'd wager to say SMU players felt the same way if their head coach retired on duty.

Maybe they'll mention how terribly boring it was not having a game on opening weekend!!!

God forbid a state school! Oh no! SMU isn't exactly Ivy League or in a category with Rice or Stanford. Hell, it's not up there with TCU. I'm sure all the kids at states schools have a boring existence partying too. I'll take a big state school in the party department for the college experience all day long. But then again, if given a choice to drink too much and make bad decisions over not drinking too much and making good decisions, well, I always choose one way. And I have two daughters that I can afford to send anywhere I damn well please. They just aren't allowed to date guys like my friends and I. Sidebar, funny story, I was at a party at the Phi Kap house one night. My friends and I overheard some douche kid say pretty much the same statement about how rough it must be to be at a state school. I never saw him again to ask he and his friends if it sucked when their girlfriends left with my buddies and I. I won't mention the details on a public forum. That was a fun night. A couple of guys on this forum were there at Hickory Village after the Tavern.
