Not to mention the fire department would probably gladly supervise if the university really wanted this.

Smatresk predicting 5-10K students at UNT Frisco Campus
UNTexas replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Hopefully zero. I walked to class in college and barely made it in time all the way from Hickory Village. I generally made it home after 2 AM after my night classes because Fry Street sucked me while walking home. It would be ashame if others didn't have to suffer a similiar fate. Nothing against Frisco, I live in Frisco, I love it here, but Frisco isn't a college town. Students shouldn't have to attend 2 campuses. -
It would be a bad deal for the bar. They'd lose money. UCF will win soon. UNT won't win with our stubborn coach.

MGB: Issuing the Mean Green Morale Collapse Watch
UNTexas replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
"I hear from UNT fans quite a bit. I just haven’t sense this much of a sense of hopelessness in a long time." I'd revise "long time" and say "ever." In the past there were goals such as to get back to D1, get better facilities, get in a better conference, get student turnout, ect. UNT football got it all and failed. So, yes. It's hopeless until they clean house and change the culture. -
Official Southern Miss Score Prediction Thread
UNTexas replied to MeanGreenTexan's topic in Mean Green Football
45-20 Southern Miss and Mac states the following post game: "McNulty is a solid, consistent, hard working, leader, who made mistakes but I still have faith in him. He and the coaches will get back to work." -
Would some please tell me what the hell is going on behind closed doors at UNT? Every year under Mac a new golden boy is brought in at QB, left to rot, tossed to the side, classless evaluations are made public, and the player eventually quits. I'm absolutely no conspiracy theorist but I'm a realist and there is something going on.

Smatresk predicting 5-10K students at UNT Frisco Campus
UNTexas replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
5-10K in Frisco seems unrealistic. Especially at the location they are currently opening it's new space. Next door to Baby Jerry World, Legacy West, the Gate, Wade Park, Frisco Station, ect., how would it be remotely economically beneficial for UNT to get in the middle of all the corporate/mixed use properties that don't appear to be cheap? I know there's all kinds of tax breaks and economic development issues that are way out of my expertise so does anyone know how this is good for UNT? I assume expanding the brand and maybe more research as well? Please enlighten me. Thanks. -
I agree wholeheartedly.

The point is we shouldn't struggle. EP and UTEP have a bad reputation because if you aren't from there it really sucks. I lived there, it sucks. Denton isn't a hard sell. EP is, I'd never let my kids go there from a long list of reasons. The moral of the story is UNT doesn't hold anyone accountable for anything.

I agree, any win this year will be surprising.

I say we beg the Eli Young Band to come back and do a show outside the stadium or inside after a game. It seems to work at AT&T stadium. People pride themselves on music at North Texas, so, how about some music... plus beer and girls...

DRC Monday column: Time has arrived to give Smith a shot
UNTexas replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
The bottom line is North Texas is 2-1 right now if we had a better QB. SMU tried so hard to give us that game and we gave it back. Rice was on the ropes and we stopped fighting. We were outmatched on all fronts at Iowa. There have been stupid plays and turnovers but we would have survived our first two games with a QB who can lead from the front. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right, but give D Smith a chance and see what happens. The status quo means 0-12. -
If we go 0-12 he still has a job.

Welcome to UNT and sorry my BS meter just went off. 23 High School kids would be in tears, broken, and in shambles attempting to play any Division 1 team. That might be one of the most outlandish statements I've ever read here. It's like the Bama fans who thought they could compete with a bad NFL team. It's backed by simple stats too. The NCAA told us when we were freshman about 1 out of 5,500 high school players would ever play 1 snap on a D1 field and 1 out of 100 of us would play in the NFL. The moral was get an education but it also displays the laughability of your statement. But don't get me wrong, it would be fun to watch the hits.

I'm with you. Going to UNT games is one of my favorite things to do but this is getting ridiculous. Most of my friends have already backed out on Homecoming and I don't see the point if I'm just going to get angry at this piss poor product mixed with embarrassing sideline antics that a high school coach wouldn't allow. Classless. Seriously, Portland State is going to further embarrass our team while they scream and dance on the sideline. I can take losing but this team's behavior enrages me. Add that to childish players going online and crapping on the only people who support them. There is a serious leadership void in Denton. They better give D Smith a chance this week when McNulty fails to move the ball. Good grief just win!!!
-
We will get beat worse than 16.
-
We are absolutely not in the Dickey type days. He won and went to bowl games. Mac just loses.
-
Is anyone surprised they beat SMU? Of course they beat us. We are the worst FBS team in the country.

Ryan Rentfro drops knowledge on us....the "faithful"
UNTexas replied to All About UNT's topic in Mean Green Football
As someone who's been on both sides of what this kid is talking about I can tell you he's lucky to have any fans left and doesn't know the history of our program. Losers talk sh$t, as he's doing, and winners do something about it. If he wants to feel good then win. Or he can send angry tweets or dance, yell, and act the fool on the sideline like the other benchwarmers while they get blown out. He needs to grow up and realize in big boy world you don't get participation trophies. Our fans are pretty damn loyal to still be interested year after year while the team loses. -
I couldn't see it through my disgust filled tears.
-
The dancing yelling crap is beyond juvenile. The coaches need to put an end to that BS yesterday. We may be the worst team in college football but they don't need to behave like morons.
-
Sad is true. Moreover, I'm fed up with the unprofessional product that a university with damn near 40,000 students is putting out. I'm sad but pissed off and embarrassed all at the same time. They have no excuses left. RV did a good job with certain things but his time has passed. It's piss poor recruiting and coaching. One thing sticks out like sore thumb is there are players out there that just don't care. Watch the sideline. It enrages me. Clean house. Fix it. Change the culture. It's completely unacceptable at every level. This university deserves better.

We do and we are two weeks away from getting destroyed by a D1aa team.
-
Put in D Smith. It's a blow out. Let him try.

I think this might be the worst North Texas offense I've ever seen. And add our secondary to that list too.
