I wish someone would talk some sense into him. I've been in his shoes. He's going to miss the life. He has less than a month of football left for the rest of his life and when it's over, it's over. There hasn't been a Fall I didn't miss playing and more importantly hanging out with the types of guys that are attracted to football. You don't get a comical cast of characters like this in the real world. He doesn't realize he will even miss the travel, the never ending meetings, the beat downs in practice, the weight room, conditioning, off season early mornings, ass chewings, and I could go on. Anyone who's lucky enough to be in his shoes needs to appreciate every second he has left.

I read he's doing well and sorely missed.

If you're serious here are a few synonyms: piss up a rope, get lost, take a hike, fly a kite, go play in traffic, and especially F*** off. Dickey could offer any of these suggestions to RV if he were daft enough to ask if he'd like to come back.

Hypothetically speaking if UNT did offer him the job, he'd tell RV to pound sand.

This just highlights how bad RV is at scheduling. His shit schedules and running fans away hurts this program's recruiting as much as Mac's unfortunate failures. The bodybag game followed by FCS game formula is a massive failure for our school, the program, fan support, student support, and recruiting.

I like the idea of getting a young coach. Tech is a good example. Briles gets my vote over Norvell. Big 12 recruiter of the year will know the recruiting trail much better than the other guys mentioned. If he's not interested then oh well.

I couldn't agree with you more on this. I never got the feeling he wanted to be here. He never stopped talking about his past. And I won't even get into his complaints about UNT and how he crapped on his own players.
