If I were him I'd avoid Chip Kelley.

I don't know about the services but if anyone knows can you please post it. My phone has been blowing up from former players wanting to know.

Coach Michaels coached at North Texas from 1994 through 2000 and retired in Denton. He was still living in Denton to the best of my knowledge.

I just heard Coach Bill Michaels passed away Friday. I don't have any details as I just heard. Coach Mike was one of the finest coaches or men to have coached at North Texas. It was a privilege to know him, play for him, and I always looked up to him. He'll be missed by a lot of people.

My guess is not be offered at Mississippi State and stay in Lubbock minus a year of playing time.

After wasting money on several trips that UNT embarrassed themselves I'm holding off on spending money on airfare, hotels, tickets, ect. until this team shows some character. (Which it seriously lacked character & leadership lately.) I expect a lot of minuses but it's really been a waste of money and a buzz kill. I'll do some closer games to DFW like UTSA, Rice, or Ruston but I'm not dropping thousands on a trip if this team doesn't change.

Obviously the president gets it and RV is trying to sugar coat it. The attendance is garbage because our sports are absolutely terrible. If we won, people would love to attend games. However, we get embarrassed so no one wants to go. I completely agree that RV isn't living up to his word. The scheduling isn't what he promised, the 5 home games was a joke, and I'm really not happy about him scheduling Incarnate Word, Abilene Christian, and so on. Fail. I certainly recall him talking about concerts at Apogee too. Another fail. UNT football & basketball is failing under RV. He's stuck in his ways and has done all he can do because he doesn't evolve. Long time fans giving up is terrible and to say it's a minority that has given up is delusional. Thousands and thousands less at every game is pretty telling. Most fans I speak to are fed up with losing. My family is fed up with losing. All of my friends are fed up with losing. I'm fed up with UNT sports minus Soccer. Any legitimate Athletic Department would be under a new AD already. RV needs to step down or be fired for the good of the university.

Or Universidad de Norte Tamaulipas? UNT vs UNT, now that could be our nemesis. -

Big 12 may expand this summer.....

No. AAC probably isn'the looking for a team that gets annihilated by FCS teams and I doubt our AD is beating on their door anyway. We need to play better if we want to be in a better conference. -

I approve this message. -
I use to live in El Paso and everyone said it was diverse. It's not. Everyone is hispanic or Mexican. There is little diversity at UTEP or El Paso. Funny story, I was at a really crowded bar called Acietunas and a giant soldier who was black pointed at me and screamed. I thought, oh no, what did I do. He walked over and gave me a big hug and laughingly said it was nice to see a white face. Super nice guy and it was funny.

Rice Inks $3.5 Million 3 Game Deal w/Texas

I have to say RV's scheduling is severely lacking. I have zero problem playing the big boys because it pays well, helps recruiting and if we played well we could win from time to time. The Bodybag game followed by the FCS opponent is proven failing recipe. Especially when we disgrace ourselves like last season. RV needs to try and get some P5 schools to Denton like he said he would and at least 6 home games every season. Fans will show for P5 schools and they'll stay home for whoever Bethune-Cookman is. -
Did anyone watch this team last year? The NFL wouldn't be elite if they invited anyone on our 3rd rate 2015 squad. Sorry but it's true.

I'd have to say the turn out and support we got at the HOD Bowl. It was a glimpse of how things could be if we ever get our sh$t together. On my micro scale, beating Tech in Lubbock when we were 33 points dogs. I had several friends from Tech running their mouths and had a lot of family at that game. Most important to me, the field goal to tie SFA which ensured the conference championship and that team got us back to Division 1.

Hate to see a player go early but I'd lose it if Greer ever stepped foot on the feild at UNT as a QB.

Positive thoughts about the UNT 2016 schedule ONLY
UNTexas replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
We played up there in the snow years ago. The area is absolutely gorgeous. The SMU game will have a good turnout and it's actually week 1 which is much better. I can't say I'm at all excited about the second game though. All and all the schedule is way better than last year. I do see us improving a lot over last season because the team quit on Mac and in the end Chico did too when he decided to clear the bench and intentionally lost a very winnable UTEP game. Plus, our new coaching staff will have energy and a modern era style of play. Hopefully we move the ball like I hope we can. The schedule itself is much much better. We have a bye week that provides actual rest and from a fan perspective not having home games on Halloween or Thanksgiving is really good. The scheduling this season is polar opposite of the abomination that was last yeas schedule. We have a real chance at a 2-1 start to the 2016 season. -
MGB: Augie DeBiase talks about his plans
UNTexas replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
If Littrell offered him and he said no and wants to go to a prep then he can have at it. If no D1 programs offer him in the future and he calls Littrell, I hope Littrell passes on him because no one is offering for a reason. If Littrell didn't offer, not a lot to discuss. -
Judging what I've seen so far it appears Littrell is already out recruiting Mac. I know time will tell but my first impression is this class has some finds. It's pretty impressive given the short time this new staff has been here. Hopefully this turns into a great class.

I believe you'd get your ass kicked sayin' something like that, man.

Yep, pretty sure his first year in the league too.
