  1. I wouldn't say 35 straight years. There were a couple good years in there. It's really management issues. The reason we consistently suck is because the people in charge aren't good at their jobs. Therefore, we keep losing. If UNT won people would enjoy watching games. No one wants to watch there school get annihilated. I stopped going last season.
  2. I played with Damon from the start of my freshman year all the way until the end. He screwed up massively but I'll always consider him a friend and hope to see him soon. I'm really happy he's out and I hope he's put this nonsense in the rear view.
  3. Don't forget your seat belt either.
  4. "Im sorry you are an angry person and hate the world." So is this the internet tough guy version of nanna nanna boo boo? Not sure where illustrating your lack of experience is angry but that's cool. Your sophomoric response is noted and funny. Oh, and I'm not a cop, not everyone in law enforcement is a cop. I still hope you get a ticket though.
  5. Considering officer discretion is used every minute of every day in this country and you obviously don't work in law enforcement. I would suggest your academic, non real world, black and white interpretation of how laws are enforced aren't realistic. The criminal justice system doesn't have time for this nonsense and this idea has bipartisan support amoung people who know what goes on in the real world. That said, I hope you get a ticket tomorrow for 61 in a 60 because it's the law.
  6. Less than two ounces? That should have been stuffed in the test kit so there wasn't enough evidence left to go on or he should have been given the chance to flush it down the toilet and been forced to call his parents. Glad to see the campus police are using limited resources on such a major crime. I'll bet they worked their way to a major supplier of 8 ounces of weed. (For the hard liners that is sarcasm.) None of this is news worthy.
  7. In the mean time we get Abilene Christian ET AL... RV better not be here in 2022.
  8. I must say, after reading another article about the real story, the movie is complete fiction. Another fact, starters hate guys like Rudy. They are banged up and trying to recover from the last game before the next game then along comes the gym class hero walk on that can't play properly while cutting everyone at the knees because he has no skill or talent but tries to be Johnny Hustle for coaches that will never let him see a game day field in order to no be fired.
  9. Where have you been man?!
  10. This thread can't be locked. It's the offseason and nothing is going on.
  11. RV blows this guy out of the water in the poor job performance category.
  12. I thought the same thing. Finish the endzone!
  13. I think it's pretty laughable that all of y'all assume young Riley Dodge knows who Barney Fife is.
  14. If I were a student I'd vote against the athletic fee. The president has proven he doesn't care about athletics by not firing RV. RV has done all he is capable of doing at UNT. There just isn't any accountability at UNT. The football & basketball teams actually hurt the university by failure & embarrassment. It destroys the perception of our school. I'm just so tired of it. I'm mad and don't know if I'll bother going to any football or basketball games unless changes occur. If the university doesn't care at all then why should alumni?
  15. 2015 attendance was 13,631. Maybe, but I promise there weren't a quarter of that in the stadium by the UTEP game.
  16. Great win for the MUTS.
  17. Lance Dunbar is back in Dallas on a one year contract!
  18. It's a good thing Frisco High Schools are a fraction of the size of neighboring cities. Plus every game will sell out indoors with air conditioning. The kids in Frisco are extremely excited. Especially with their Nike contract on top of new facilities. Hell, they already play at Toyota Stadium. Much different than my High School team in West Texas and far better than several D1 schools I played at. Light years ahead of Fouts and better than many current Conference USA facilities. Thank goodness for Apogee. Fouts was terrible.
  19. Frisco's new stadium opens this Summer. It will be nicer than Allen, Apogee, & McKinney. Sure they are splitting it with Cowboys but that is going to be cool for the kids. Apogee is really nice. Much nicer than most stadiums. If we could ever sell it out I'd be thrilled.
  20. What does he donate to each? I'm in total agreement about RV. If he gave a damn about UNT he'd resign. I've never seen our athletics this bad. It's an embarrassment. We are a university pushing 40,000 students and our athletics are outlandishly pathetic except for women's sports. Especially soccer. I wish I could share publicly some of the stories I have about how RV is dropping the ball but I can't. We probably have the worst relations in the NCAA when it comes to ex-players and the the Athletic department. They pretty much make everyone feel unwelcome. Not just players either, ex coaches are saying it. And it's 100 percent RV's culture he's created. Letterman from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90, and 00s are currently getting together and fund raising for various things and it's totally unaffiliated with the university because the athletic department is an absolute joke.
  21. That number will drop faster than attendance if last season continues. UNT is a big school and RV is a complete failure and a liar. He's all talk and doesn't follow through with most of his promises. The only thing worse than his job performance is his arrogance. If RV stays then UNT should go ahead and cancel athletics because they aren't even trying. And I say this as a 4 year Letterman. The athletic department is an embarrassment to a school I love.
  22. I totally agree with you that Lance turned into a big piece of the offense last season prior to his injuries. Especially when Dez & Tony went down and Randle lost his mind. I meant he made the team because he played special teams and played his butt off to become a serious part of the team. I disagree that he was ever a bigger part of that offense than Witten because Witten is a leader on that team, future Cowboys Ring of Honor, and possibly a Hall of Famer who's a great blocker as well as the proven go to guy. Go to guy if they could throw, which they couldn't without Romo. I never liked Lance returning kickoffs either. I think it was evident how the team felt about him when we watched Garrett's reaction. Garrett looked distraught. That said, I don't think he's a spare. He was awesome before he was hurt. Now he's an unknown because of his injuries and the unknowns of his comeback. That's why the PUP list is in place. My hope is he comes back the same as before but time will tell. That's why he's a gamble business wise.
  23. I don't really know what "Do you even Cowboys, bro?" means but I follow them daily. To say he's more important than Jason Witten is laughable at best. He made the team because he contributes on special teams and was absolutely #3 behind McFadden and Randle on the depth chart. Yes, he was important to the team but he may never be the same player he was after his injuries. I want him to come back and thrive but his injuries are a gamble from a business stand point. Hopefully he's fine because I love watching him play and he's a great success story.
  24. Even if he gets the league minimum, it's not a screwing. Its good money. I want to see him get paid too but he was/is a #3 RB coming off a big injury and there is a salary cap every team deals with.
  25. Does anyone know what actually happened?
