This is status quo in Denton. It sucks but it's not really news.

I just hope we win a few games. If it's anything like last year I won't be able to stomach it.

If you count women's sports at UNT vs men's sports at UNT the girls are way ahead in Title IX compliance because they are the only ones actually playing sports. The men are just showing up and not really playing.

Bandwagon is fine. The problem is our sports have been a joke for so long that most of our alumni just laugh off our sports teams. Alumni want our teams to win. People were really excited when the basketball team went to the tournament and when we played won the HOD Bowl. Then UNT proceeded to utterly embarrass itself. Last year even hard core fans started giving up. So I'll take Bandwagon fans over nothing at this point. If they join the bandwagon then something is going right.

Totally off topic but I'm not starting a thread over it, what are the dates and game for Homecoming in the Fall?

Ignorance is not a defense no matter how old he was. His reputation was crumbling before he died because he turned a blind eye to horrific crimes. Was he a bad guy for this? I believe he was a coward with an f' up moral compass. So yes, he was probably not a good guy. Pleasant to talk to? Sure. The neighbors always say how nice they were after the fact. Of course he knew. Of course more people in that program knew. This was a cover up. Everyone involved is pathetic and horrible people.

That loss did it for me too. After Portland State RV fired Mac on the spot. RV should have been fired on the spot too. There has to be accountability. College sports is a tough business and everyone involved knows it. RV should be history because of his history. UNT Athletic Administrators need accountability. We demand it of our student athletes at every turn but not their leadership. This culture has to change immediately.

It was a good move at the time but it's rapidly become Sunbelt 2.0 now and North Texas athletically is worse off now than it was prior to our joining CUSA. I say that because I've never seen our football team in the absolutely pathetic state that it's in and our basketball team was destroyed after joining this conference. Adapt or die. We aren't adapting...

It's not supernatural that this board would slow down during the offseason. Especially following football and basketball seasons that were to say the least an embarrassment to the university, Denton, the students, the fans, the State of Texas, and every single alumni.

This is true. No one in America sues these days...

Basically trying to establish a monopoly via state law. BS. There will be a federal lawsuit.

I want players who want to be North Texas Football players. If they love this team the way I do then they won't quit.

I watched that team last season. It was lacking leadership, heart, or a stand out player. No one from last year's team is elite enough to play on Sundays.

I hate to be a buzz kill but its a pretty sad state of affairs when a university the size of UNT doesn't have a player drafted year in and year out.

It makes sense for them but it sucks for their fans, who in my opinion are a classy bunch.

With our recent history at QB we should give anyone a chance.

Looking at only one win makes me angry because we should have easily beaten UTEP but they played everyone. So ridiculous. I know it's only one game but it irritates me.

It's always a little stressful inviting anyone out. Give him a chance. He was probably tense because he wants you to come out. Enjoy some food. Maybe some drinks and a few laughs. You'll have some a good times and he'll loosen up and get comfortable.
