The dome bar is gorgeous. It's really to bad if the rooms aren't nice anymore.

There's nothing to do by the airport and it's far from the stadium. Try the Hilton Garden Inn, it's walking distance to the stadium and lots of place to eat. The Double Tree and Camino Real are right down the road and are cool places.

I won't be able to make the trek out there this time. I travelled out there last time. If you can, sit on the press box side. The people are way nicer over there. Last time we sat on in the visiting section and had some terrible terrible drunks yelling at us the entire time. The cops didn't care either. I'm from EP and I was so ashamed to go back and see people's behavior. Total savages. They'll probably be tame and very few fans due to their dissoppointing season. There's great food out there too. If anyone has any questions PM me and I'll try and steer you in the right direction. It's a fun town in small bursts. For me anyway. GMG BEAT UTEP!!!

I spent way too much time planning fictional realignment

I'd nix Sam Houston for Texas State. I'd also try and fit teams like New Mexico, UTEP, Colorado State, ect into a Rocky Mountain type division. Oh, and I'd give NMSU one last chance in D1 football. -

So, the sky is falling after either a 6-6 season or 5-7 season. Come on people. get a grip. He isn't going anywhere after this season.

You guys are all talking like SMU is some dream job for Briles in a big ass country with lots of opportunity for good coaches. And why would Baylor be pining away for a coach with a mediocre record since his arrival? I guess it's close to the office season...

The university cannot go around publicly exposing the personal details of the players to appease the public. If something came up with your work would they release it to everyone to shame you? There are privacy issues. Want to ensure no one wants to come play for your school? Publicly shame every student athlete and make them embarrassed in front of their friends and family for infractions of team rules. Everyone in that athletic department already knows what happened. This isn't really a national secret so I don't think the coach needs to publicly release what happened, unless it's a criminal matter, but even still he'd just have to refer questions to the investigative entity. (Baylor and Penn State could have saved a lot of heartaches had they done that.) It will come out one way or another...

North Texas @ Texas University @El Paso
UNTexas replied to Coach Bill Lewis's topic in Mean Green Football
I spoke to a friend in EP and he said the heat is really turned up to fire him. We need to pour it on them early and make sure they are looking for a coach next week. -
We need to ruin their senior day.

That was terrible. 3 would be ideal. However, I just looked up the start time. 11 am!!!

I would love the HOD Bowl. We had so much fun last time.
-
How funny would it be if SMU and UNT both won this weekend and ended up playing each other in a bowl game. People on this board would melt down.
-
If Morris wins Saturday, he should start. I say that as someone who watched the UTSA game. If it's a close decision for the coaches, I say go with the guy who will play like it's his last game, because it will be... Let him leave it all on the field.

I totally agree. I came up for the UTEP game and I was furious when I saw who was starting. I don't care who doesn't get to play. This isn't 4th grade rec football. We recruit against UTEP and that was a giant middle finger. Chico is a class act but that move was bs. Send those seniors out with a W too. A win at the end of that crushing season would have meant something to everyone on that sideline. It's our Superbowl. I can't think of a bigger game for North Texas in a long time. From the ashes to a potential bowl birth. That coaching staff we have are amazing no matter what. Who would have guessed we beat Marshall or Army. I love this season.

Good write up. I love UNT but as a Cowboys fan I hope his entire defense has a lousy day tomorrow.

Dude. You are online, on another school's fansite, while at a football game. Come on man. Anyway, the Big 12, Navy, and SMU disagree with you. Now go get drunk and chase skirts. Mom, meatloaf.
-
Sadly, pretty low since the teams been under performing the last few weeks. However, should we win, UTEP will be far more entertaining.
-
Sadly, in this day and age this could happen anywhere. However, if this were UNT, I'd want anyone involved, including the AD, to be immediately fired and loudly publicly shamed. I hope SMU cleans house over this. I absolutely couldn't agree more that we should invite her out to the game next weekend to be an honorary captain and let her do the coin toss too. Hell, give her a scholarship in the name of fallen public servants while we are at it.

Don't forget you also served on Fry Street. Served drinks that is!!!

UNT Battle Flag flying at Stonehill Center (north 288)

That same picture should also be able to be taken outside of Apogee Stadium. Away from the wind turbines of course. That could get messy. -
I watch football for fun. I don't need to see nonsense like Kaepernick's ridiculous behavior. Go make a difference on your time off, not at work. I'm so sick of politics with this never ending election and everyone crying foul about everything all the time. I'm glad none of my teams have these disrespectful protests. Kaepernick is drawing attention away from his team in a sad attempt to be relevant again. While I'm on a soap box, my neighbor turned on Christmas lights last night. Seriously? In October!!! Off my soap box...

Easiest explanation was we sucked yesterday. Painful to watch. Days like yesterday are why UNT football gets little respect.

He was here prior to the formation of the 1995 Woman's program. The real question is, why would he leave? He's built a very solid program from the ground up and has job security. That isn't something hat comes around often these days.
