  1. It was a sarcastic post mimicking countless movie previews. I hope the post that disgusted you and made me laugh didn't force you to a safe zone with therapy dogs.
  2. Part of UNT's problem is the line of thinking you just illustrated. Who should actually give a damn what SMU is doing? All of you that bring up SMU before UNT's actual achievement embarrass our school more than any ad campaign. I'm so sick of this SMU bs.
  3. Good stuff
  4. We signed an Alabama QB. So, no news here...
  5. And we took giant leaps back...
  6. Totally agree. Games like this represent what college football is suppose to be. Not the ESPN controlled money machine.
  7. Fine, if we play to win. Plus, he was the the QB when we kicked Army's teeth in last time.
  8. They should be more concerned with the beat down we gave them at home.
  9. This game is going to be nationally televised on ESPN. UNT has invested a lot of money into its current branding. To throw away the opportunity to get your actual brand out in favor of an emblem that very very very few people would recognize would be so bad that people should lose their jobs if this happened. Do a throw back at home mid season at Homecoming or something. So no no no no no no no no no no no no no!!!!
  10. Awesome. I'll start firing off emails ASAP.
  11. Got a question, would Feds qualify? I could get a bunch of guys from several agencies to go. (They all have creds) I'll let my buddy who's a fireman know too. Anything helps on numbers...
  12. Speaking of Benford, when is he getting fired? It's time...
  13. Maybe a bit off topic but I've wished North Texas would ask a band like The Eli Young Band or Bowling for Soup (someone with Denton ties) to come out and play at Apogee on a game day. It would be cool for a bowl too I guess. I know several people that aren't North Texas fans who would go to a game if there was a cool band playing around the event. The Cowboys do it outside and it's really cool. The Gameday atmosphere would be better, more party like, which would be better for recruit's and fans perception. Mostly it would be more fun.
  14. I think HOD would rather have us than La Tech. Not because we are good but we have numbers. Army in Fort Worth would be awesome too.
  15. That's actually a good question. I'd assume often. If I were say, the St. Petersburg Bowl, I'd want USF over UNT because of attendance. So, if USF was possibly destined for the HOD and UNT destined for Florida, I'd want to swap them for attendance purposes every day of the week.
  16. I want the ones we'd bring the most fans to, so, HOD on the 27th or AFB on the 23rd. (Selfishly, HOD because the date is better for me, although the time sucks.)
  17. How about our team just sucks? Seriously, our D makes an above average running back look like a Heisman candidate, our special teams, mainly punter, has butter fingers, and our offense is pretty pathetic. The only thing worse than our play today was the shitty camera coverage. UTEP's a punchline and they smoked us. I'm ashamed today and this team and staff should be ashamed. This is total bs. I really am embarrassed to be a fan and alumni today.
  18. I don't think we deserve a bowl, however, for the outgoing players, I hope they get 4 more quarters of football. Additionally, a bowl payment would be great for UNT. (Plus recruiting perks.) Especially if we get in because our student athletes kicked ass in the most important place.
  19. Army beat them by 52 in a run versus run matchup. UTEP's passing game is bad. Hopefully we jump all over them early and force them to throw.
  20. Maybe they'll return the favor Chico gave them last year by making sure everyone plays? If so, it won't be close...
  21. The dome bar is gorgeous. It's really to bad if the rooms aren't nice anymore.
  22. There's nothing to do by the airport and it's far from the stadium. Try the Hilton Garden Inn, it's walking distance to the stadium and lots of place to eat. The Double Tree and Camino Real are right down the road and are cool places.
  23. I won't be able to make the trek out there this time. I travelled out there last time. If you can, sit on the press box side. The people are way nicer over there. Last time we sat on in the visiting section and had some terrible terrible drunks yelling at us the entire time. The cops didn't care either. I'm from EP and I was so ashamed to go back and see people's behavior. Total savages. They'll probably be tame and very few fans due to their dissoppointing season. There's great food out there too. If anyone has any questions PM me and I'll try and steer you in the right direction. It's a fun town in small bursts. For me anyway. GMG BEAT UTEP!!!
