ABC7 (Arkansas News) picks the MEAN GREEN

This has serious potential to be the newest way NT completely guts me. This is shaping up to break me. For once I want it to be us winning one of these. -
I think their point is, our record speaks for itself, we have gotten curb stomped by teams like Arkansas in the past. That's hopefully in the past. Many of them are probably irrate that no one here is scared of them. Schools like their's have fan bases that believe we should roll over and die when we play them. The last season I played at NT, Tech's players and fans sounded the same way and it was a privilege embarrassing them at home. Oh, and its laughable that the one dude thinks the coaches are going to say look what the fans over at GMG are saying. Seriously? I mean seriously. They are watching film and getting crapped on for losing last week. But at least it was followed up with their fans piss me off and they have no fans. Then why is that guy mad at fans that don't exist? Poor fella lived here 14 years and didn't get out much. Their fan base is actually pretty reasonable. Just a few wanks who can't fathom we love our school. Hopefully we win. It would be fun.

Denton isn't the greatest airport for service. Alliance can handle pretty much any aircraft and be Johnnyon the spot. Denton is a good little airport, especially for learning. I've flown into both a lot when I was a flight instructor. Alliance wins. At least they aren't having to bus down to Love, DFW, or Addison.

Win, or I'll die...

One of my favorite coaches at UNT was Bill Michael. Hell of a man and a hell of a coach. He was to team Captain at Arkansas and began his coaching career there as well. Also coached at Oklahoma! He hit both states. He coached for a really long time and ended his career with us.

You have to be damn good fans to put up with and endure what we've been through. Its been a long long Winter...

Fayetteville is 1401 feet. Denton is 642 feet. As someone from Texas, a pliot, lived in the Rockies before, played football at NT, also played in actual mountains, I am going to say that elevation post is completely hilarious in my opinion. If we were playing at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City then I'd hand it to the poster. Also, does the geographical wizard who came up with the humidity idea think Denton, Texas is near El Paso or Big Bend? Or did they just get the idea that everywhere in Texas is desert as portrayed by Hollywood? My word people need to get out if their own zip code sometimes!!!

Amazing what winning football games does for a university! -
I don't think the NCAA would have a problem for a second giving teams like us or SMU for that matter the death penalty. Dallas and SMU survived just fine without football. As would Denton and UNT. It would suck. But we'd survive. They'd never ever consider it in a town like Tuscaloosa, College Station, or Norman because they are cash cows and the cities seriously depend on revenue at not just the university but hotels, restaurants, stores, ect... If the death penalty should have been used, the second team to get it should have been Penn State. Covering up child molestation, possibly for years, is just outright inexcusable. Those players should have been allowed to transfer, coaches/school officials should have been destroyed, and the team should have been axed as an example. Had that happen, the disaster at Michigan State would have gone very differently. Some things are more important than games.

It would be funny to see us beat them with a field goals.

I don't know about ya'll but those Power 6 commercials for the AAC were/are embarrassing for the conference. I get they are riding UCF's coattails but it wasn't that long ago UCF couldn't win a single game. As far as football goes, CUSA and the AAC seem to be pretty on par these days. A few CUSA teams are a train wrecks and the same goes for the AAC. I looked for a few minutes but didn't really see any solid stats to compare the two conferences. It seems to me a conference isn't going to crack the P5. Single universities, yes, an entire conference, no. The way the AAC is sadly marketing this P6 nonsense is embarrassing to the member universities.

Weather played a very big part, however, tickets sold beforehand are counted even if people chose not to go because of rain.

The balls being thrown in aren't water logged or slimy like the old days. It causes somewhat of a problem but a wet game on artificial turf isn't nearly as bad as mud.

I don't see SMU digging themselves out of this hole now.

They'll blame the H2O this week. Last week it was luck.
