  1. UTSA, UTEP & UTA could have the Irrelevant Trophy to battle over.
  2. Mitch won a conference championship. Hopefully Fine can too next year.
  3. Its a reference point alright. They embarred us. The supposed shiny spot in CUSA until our offense ceased to play 4 quarters. So is UTEP (far and away the dead last team in all FBS), Rice, UTSA, WKU, ODU. We got the best great press about being the best team in CUSA and can't beat teams with winning records. We have the same conference record as UTSA. The Sunbelt has a team in the top 25. They would most likely destroy our team. Same with other G5 opponents like UCF or USF. CUSA is more on par with the MAC now. Yes, they do their homework and its not far fetched that many Sunbelt teams would dominate a lot of our conference. CUSA isn't what it was 10 years ago in my opinion. They aren't going to just stick App State at 25 because they like them.
  4. They probably do actually. Last time we saw Troy we got crushed.
  5. Now that we are out of contention for the conference championship I couldn't care less what the rest of the conference does. Hopefully we get back on track, win a few more games, and play well in whatever bowl we go to.
  6. I'd like to see what he could do with some blocking.
  7. Very very true
  8. TCU has a tough schedule. I think they'd beat us. Texas and A&M would beat us too but I think we could take Houston if our offense played 4 quarters.
  9. Hopefully our offense will show. I really think this team's strength is in its D.
  10. That was a rough one. I still remember that game well. I missed it because my wife was having a baby at any moment. 77. Crazy.
  11. We have no chance at winning our conference. Please explain to me how we can?
  12. I'd take s conference championship over two OCC games any day.
  13. I couldn't agree more. We beat down losing teams and down right quit after leading against the 2 teams we lost to. And I'm sick of hearing we beat Arkansas and SMU. We got our season crushed by two conference teams after leading them and have zero chance at a conference championship. 17 was a far better season than 18. Pisses me off. I had such high hopes.
  14. You forgot to add: let NT jump up 21 or so and they will stop playing.
  15. Not sure what bowl we will play in but I am so unhappy about 2 losses we could have won. I had such high hopes. I'm not sure why our team jumps up on people then can't move the ball.
  16. We started great. We couldn't win when we needed to. 2017 team was better than 2018. It sucks. We will remember a punt return during a great win. Sadly, it was followed by an inability to win after a lead. Sucks. I'm sick about it. Maybe in 19 we can compete for a CUSA west championship. I can't understand why this team decided to stop attacking with leads. Oh well
  17. Its cool. Proud for a bowl when everyone with 6 plays in bowl. Awesomeness. Wren. We need some wrestlers to get 55 people to give a damn about the remainder of this sad season. I'd rather us suck than blow. Such is life at NT...

  18. No chance at the conference but memories are born. We beat several bad teams in a row and made highlight reels with Peter Pan. It was fun. 2 losses come after blowing leads with totally pathetic offense and crap special teams. Damn I am upset...
  19. Reset my ass. This team only beats losers. At least Littrell 's stock is down.
  20. Totally chill here hoss. Smart ass, yes. Young, not so much. In my 4 years playing at UNT I never met a player or coach that loved or even enjoyed practicing in rain and cold. Cooler and dry, greatness. And yes, even in my tenure they slowed things down in the cold and rain to avoid injuries at practice. I'm being a smart ass because there are so many fans that think they are knowledgeable because they played JV somewhere and watched Friday Night Lights. There are reasons everyone is spending money on things like indoor facilities. Its about reps and learning. Not true grit. These guys are tough or they wouldn't be out there. Without being a smart ass getting acclimated is fine like when Idaho came here in 13 and fell apart in that heat and we thrived. But wet, cold, and miserable for a week turns your learning curve off.
  21. Not yet. Waiting for around 6. Miners are 7-7 on La Tech. Go Miners.
  22. A little rain? The most rain in the history of October in Denton in October. Pretty brisk out there too. Ok. Great idea. We should really reconsider spending millions of dollars on an indoor practice facility with your logic. Since the mere drizzle and cool winds of this week are so harmless then we would be really stupid building an indoor facility. So is every high school, college, and NFL team that practices indoors. You won me over.
  23. Thank you for your insightful post. Practices are designed to spare teams of dumb injuries. Let's use your model and let us go back to the old days, go full pads, full speed all week, and no water because water is for the weak. The true key to winning is beat up tough guys with grit. Smash mouth 1950s football. We should also bring back flat tops and action pose individual photos.
