If I can get a free ticket from someone, I'll go. I'm not going to spend a penny on this program until I see that things are actually going to change for the better (cough, RV fired, cough).

Certainly Pres Smatresk needs to consistently be reminded of how unhappy the fan base is about the AD and the consequences of keeping him in charge (via e-mail, letters, phone calls, social media, etc). Such pressure will not go unnoticed by him and his staff.

Has anyone heard back from Smatresk? Are we sending letters as well? We need to more than just e-mail and threads on this site about RV's removal. This is the time to do this, we can't afford another decade or two of this, we just cannot.

Kind of funny when he mentions McNulty as the starter and looks straight at the camera at 2:25..."in your face, take that--I do what I want!"

Can there be a serious campaign to change up the leadership at UNT athletics and demand higher standards? I think most sensible fans recognize RV's time is up. He served well and it's time to move on. Nothing will ever get done without serious external pressure. If anything, maybe that will make RV realize he needs to change things up or he'll likely be gone. Thoughts?

Take him! And fire RV. The new president has already made some big administrative changes when he got to UNT. It's time he does the same with UNT athletics.

OMG they scored at the last minute. Unfair. TAMU wins 2-1 in 2OT. They got really, really lucky. UNT should have held in there that last minute and they should practice defending goals against set pieces. Both A&M's goals were on set pieces.

If Carlos is referring to the MG fans that take their time to vocalize their frustration on a clearly sub-par QB as "nobodies," then someone needs to have a serious talk with this kid. I don't see most of the criticism on AM being about his persona or work ethic. Moreover, without the fans who actually care enough about UNT to voice their frustration (while many of them still make serious contributions to this program), this FB program would probably either be gone like UAB's or stuck at FCS for good. Don't take it so personal, Carlos--you are attacking the wrong crowd. Many of us are far from a "nobody" with real jobs and successful careers that also take a high amount of work ethic and dedication and we then DECIDE to take some of our hard-earned financial resources and limited time to support a program most people laugh at and don't take seriously. However, if he is directing his attack to someone else, then ignore this comment. But I have a feeling that latter is not the case...

Does anybody have spare tickets for the game and willing to sell them cheaply? Or know where I can get them cheaply? My girlfriend and I tried to get the discounted student tickets but they were already sold out.

Well, I think it's a mixure. We are, after all, one of the youngest teams in college football. But, I agree that many of these players could have had more experience in some of the last year's games. I am not, by any means, a blind believer in coach Mac and staff. So far I haven't seen anything outstanding from his tenure and his overall career record is there for a reason. If we want to take this program to a new level, we might need a new coach...and perhaps a new AD who can make better hires.

I was at athe game today and the team that played during the second half was a different team than the one that played in the first. Inconsistency is the main detriment to this team and I attribute that in part to inexpierence. Let's see if they can manage to win one more game or two in conference play and how much they improve for next season before we call for Mac's head. I still am, however, incredibily disappointed with the season so far.

What makes you think we can beat any of those teams? FIU could easily beat us at home. Heck, any of those team can if we keep getting worse each week.

He said all of the right things. Now let's see it in practice and not just verbally. I expect these kids to wake up with adequate pressure from the coaches this week and unload a lot of aggression on Southern Miss. If we don't play well against them after this, then there is something really seriously bad going on with this program.

Completely pathetic on the coaches, players and all involved in this game and, for the most part, this season so far.

This game could really go either way. No idea...but if I HAD to guess, I'd go with us winning: UNT 38 IU 28.
