  1. Nah...not really. If SMU gets an invitation, then there could be a slight glimmer of hope of getting a CUSA invitation.
  2. At times we have shown signs of being pitiful as well though. However, I do see us having the potential to win 4 more games after winning this weekend. I see us beating FAU, ULM, ASU, MTSU, and WKU. Hopefully we can beat ULL as well, but don't see us beating Troy this year on the road.
  3. Nobody should have the right to disrespect those hard-working D-I athletes, especially since nobody would think anything related to a "pillow fight" if one is to step into that field and play in such a game.
  4. I agree. They would accept if they get invited.
  5. I think UNT has the potential to eventually be right next to TCU and eventually surpass them and be on the ranks of Texas Tech and A&M. We have the size, potential fan base, and facilities. We just need to start winning, and winning, and then winning some more.
  6. I'm sure it has to do with coach Mac's plan on making this team a defensive team and those players could greatly help out in that regard. Just my guess.
  7. You can't possibly say they'll "never" go to another BCS bowl. UT had a losing season last year, OU is always pretty solid but aside from those two teams, TCU could compete well against the rest of the conference and compete for future BCS bowls. Plus, who knows, we may end up with a playoff system, so you might be right IF that happens. If not, you simply can't say they'll NEVER be able to go to a BCS bowl game.
  8. I want coach Mac to be my friend.
  9. No, I don't think it's even remotely possible to predict these outcomes. Plus, I REALLY doubt there'll be status quo with CUSA and MWC...UCF, Houston, Boise st, SDSU..and a couple more could end up moving out or form a stronger conference amongst themselves, I don't know, but everything is really hard to predict.
  10. I would personally rather us go to the MWC than CUSA, unless SMU leaves CUSA. However, I have a feeling UCF and Houston are leaving and I don't see many of the MWC teams leaving, meaning it'll be a slightly better conference, especially if BSU stays. Boise St. playing against us in conference play in Denton? Air Force playing us in conference play in Denton? SDSU....I mean, it would greatly improve our attendance average and we'd probably shortly after be considering expanding our stadium, which would keep improving our recruits. However, we just don't know how conferences are going to end up like in the next couple of year, so we just have to wait. I'm impatient though.
  11. Oh really? I didn't know that. I did hear that Texas was always against a TCU addition and thought OU wasn't for TCU either, but I guess I'm wrong about the Oklahomas. If the big 12 does survive and gain extra strength by adding a West Virginia and BYU or BSU...then I'm all for it. I am definitely against a super PAC 16 and other super conferences.
  12. I am not sure if this will save the Big 12 though. Teams like Texas and OU that don't hold the highest regards for TCU may indeed proceed to leave the conference. If so, TT, and OSU will get out as well. This will leave a very weak conference, even if they add a couple of more teams. In a couple of years, as crazy as things are turning out, we'll be stronger performance and fan attendance wise, and therefore may see ourselves getting good offers from better conferences, ie MWC, CUSA.
  13. Best case scenario: TCU gos to the Big12 and the rest of the Big 12 commits to the conference and perhaps add BYU and Boise State. SMU heads to the Big East as they proceed to add UCF and Temple (good for their bb losses). This leaves a weaker CUSA and good prospects for getting invited. People, this won't happen overnight and next year, as we are on top of the belt (in my opinion), we'll be the most attractive belt team because of our facilities, region, and fan base.
  14. We now need to hope we can get 5 conference wins. This should be our primary concern and not questioning our coaches' evaluations and decisions on game day. They are the professionals and they know what they are doing best. Our job right now is to fill up the stadium on Saturday. Will it happen? Unfortunately not, but I'm hoping 20k+ fans show up. If so and if we keep high attendance, I see ourselves with the potential of winning all 4 remaining home games and pray we can steal one road game and become bowl eligible.
  15. May be driving to Denton alone this weekend. Will try to meet fellow mean green fans as I just got back from living abroad and current people I know (UNT football fans) aren't going to the game. Just want to meet more true mean green fans out there. Cheers.
