  1. ugh, so close!
  2. I'm an alumnus but I was at the student section...was I cheating?
  3. I still stick to my 7-5 prediction. However, I can now see an 8-4 as something conceivable perhaps, which I didn't before. GMG!
  4. 41-10. This team needs to prove that it is a well-coached and passionate team with lots of promise. Anything closer than a 3-touchdown margin and I'll be disappointed. I know the players and coaches won't overlook any team this season. TSU may be better than we think, but UNT desperately needs to make a statement and this game can allow the team to make that statement.
  5. Yup, they did not give up a sack. Pretty impressive.
  6. VERY proud of this newly invigorated team! With some issues and lack of depth, they still went out and showed that they can play their heart outs against any team. Excited to see how we progress this season and hopefully come out as SB champs! GMG!
  7. I find this rather disturbing. If that's how he feels, he should keep it to himself. NT gave him much more than LSU Football ever did. If for no other reason, he should keep it shut out of respect to UNT. I may be crazy though since I have such respect and passion for my Alma Mater
  8. Texas Southern does not concern me in the least. One thing is being cautious and not being over-confident, but another is to hold no trust in the potential of the team. To think we need to be concerned about Texas Southern is really saying that there is no trust in what this team can do. Let's start having slightly higher standards. FAU is awful and MTSU is pretty close, and add that McNeese is significantly better than TSU and I really don't see us having to be concerned about this game. Of course, things can always go wrong in a game, but that's a different issue. The game is a mismatch, much like our first game.
  9. Go Lance, making UNT proud! And same for Jamize, wish both of them great success...I have a feeling Dunbar is going to do big things in the future.
  10. How about we don't overlook Ohio, Ball State and every other opponent.
  11. I have higher expectations because the coaching staff knows what they're doing. We should have a shot at 7-5 with 6-6 being more probable. However, I'll be somewhat disappointed if we don't improve last year's 5-7 record. We had more of a depleted team last year and did not have an easier schedule by any means. We certainly have the ability to beat Troy and ULaLa at home, plus beating TSU, FAU, MTSU, WKU or ULM (or both)...that puts us at 6-6 or 7-5 without any "miracles" or "surprises" in my opinion. If we were tough to get beaten at Apogee last year, it will be tougher this year.
  12. What is his vision for UNT athletics within the next 5-10 years? Will we begin to genuinely compete with the "big boys" and will the administration continue to support athletics? UNT has lots of catching up to do in the academics and, of course, athletics. Thanks to RV and other key administrators, UNT seems to be heading in the right direction, but is this newfound hope from the fans and commitment from the administration a sustainable reality?
  13. I actually spoke with Connor Trussell last weekend, and I can ASSURE you that he CHOSE UNT and is EXCITED to have chosen UNT over other DI schools, including SMU.
  14. Predicting a re-match final from last year, but this time we beat UALR. How awesome would that be.
  15. Ok ok...I'm ready for the win and then beating UALR in the final, epic revenge.
  16. UNT is making moves to invest over $100 million in a student Union building, right after having built a new stadium, business building and life sciences building. Next I heard, the auditorium was given consideration for a renovation. I don't see the Coliseum being considered anywhere, which probably means we won't see anything major done arena-wise for the rest of the decade. I hope I'm wrong though, a new arena or a highly renovated Pit would put our athletic facilities at a really high level, specially if we eventually expand the stadium...we'd easily have the best facilities in the DFW, I think. And that would say a lot about UNT. Believe.
  17. wow, could we have played any worse? what a pitiful performance, this is beyond disappointing.
  18. There comes the focus I talk about. They had tough losses, they just need to move on and be more focused and implement what the coaches tell them to do during games. They are a better team than what they're currently showing and could perform well in the tourney if they start focusing, the season is not over yet.
  19. They aren't playing focused and listening to Aston's directions during games, as she explicitly mentioned during her post-game interview. I am thinking they just need to get over the fact that they lost against MTSU and the couple of tough road losses in FL and start playing with discipline as they were at one point. This is not about physical exhaustion, they are all good enough athletes.
  20. I'm talking about the facilities, not fans/attendance. Our basketball program is getting relatively good attendance because of its recent successful seasons, and this season, adding Tony Mitchell to the mix. UTA's arena has helped the school's recent attendance in home games and overall excitement amongst fans. Again, the Pit is not a bad arena, but it is slowly asking for some renovation/upgrades, in my opinion.
  21. I'm sure he wrote it sarcastically.
  22. Road game record? Not sure...
  23. Interesting...Well, I hope he abides by the rules at UNT and helps turn this program around. Great things can happen if he stays focused and leads by example.
  24. And question, if Trice was that good coming out of high school, does anyone know why he transferred out of OU? Just curious.
  25. Where exactly is that video?
