This is a joke. Have no more comments.

"The mean green now struggling against a DII opponent" ......nice.
-
This team may only disappoint this season.
-
This will be a long season, it seems.
-
Part of this pathetic display is coaching, no? I mean, don't we have the talent? We can't be THIS far behind, regardless of how early we are in the season, no?
-
Ok...Tony Mitchell was not playing in the UTA game and CJ and JWilliams were very inexperienced at that stage. Plus, that was a horrendous game that nobody wants to even remember. The team this year has higher expectations for a reason. Until they get key wins, we can't believe the team will meet those expectations. Nobody was expecting a win (well, maybe some) but a loss like this was unacceptable for a team of this caliber, which should be playing more disciplined BB.

Ladies really need to control possession, but they are letting TT play as if they're ahead. TT seems like they want this one more, hate to say it.
-
Not looking good. Worse thing is NT is letting TT control possession. Don't see the girls winning this one, what a shame.
-
Women need to be a little more aggressive on the offensive.
-
0-0 halftime. pretty even game thus far. both teams had chances to score, although Tech is winning the possession battle.
-
Horrendous shooting attributed to early season and some inexperience. Ok, fine, but Creighton did not shoot the ball well either. This team needs to be better coached and prepared for key games in order to be respected nationally. If not, more of the same for good 'ol North Texas. Thought we were trying to change perception. We can't accept losing like this anymore, we just can't, can we?

It's incredible how we just like to stay on the L column it seems. L=UNT? Sorry, I more than anyone would die for us to come up with an "upset," but when we have a really talented team and still can't come out with a W or a really good game....it's just disappointing to see more of the same.
-
Idk...I am frankly a little tired of UNT being the perpetual underdog and always accepting a loss. "It was our toughest game of the season...it was one of the best teams in the nation..blah... blah"....Come on, we have arguably the most talented team in history and we're accepting losing? This loss was embarrassing with the way we played. We were dominated in most aspects of the game and Creighton didn't even have a great game whatsoever. We're not a poorly talented Sunbelt team with mediocre expectations. This should be a huge reality check for the team and coaches if they want to have any high level success this season, which is what everyone has to expect from this team. Hope they start playing a lot better and the coaches prove that their players are maximizing their talent. It did not show at all tonight. I'm sorry, but I'm tired of high expectations and under-performance. Hope things turn very quickly.

NT vs. MUTS Prediction Thread
bleedgreen4ever replied to kalebschumann's topic in Mean Green Football
This game could go either way. Both teams have shown inconsistencies this season. However, I think UNT has the edge at this point in the season. I see us improving each week from now on, so I say UNT 28 MTSU 17. -
Well, at least they have another ESPN2 game at home next week, I believe.
-
Gosh, that Troy game really hurts, but that game is a big reflection of how poorly this team is capable of playing. Last night's game is a reflection of how tough they can play. The problem is inconsistency with this team. I wouldn't be surprised to see this team lose a winnable game on the road against MTSU. However, I will be optimistic and say we get to 6-6 by beating MTSU, USA and ASU. WKU and ULM look like better teams and they are road games, but I also feel this team is capable of getting better toward the end of season, just as it did last season. Therefore, my initial 7-5 pre-season prediction still stands, but it's a very, very optimist prediction at this point. That Troy game hurts.

Cougar King's postgame thoughts
bleedgreen4ever replied to Cougar King's topic in Mean Green Football
Did I even bring that up? Sure, our ultra-young team has lots of issues and we were over-optimistic. But, I brought up the fact that you have no life and appear pathetic wasting your time on here. Again, get a life, man. -
Cougar King's postgame thoughts
bleedgreen4ever replied to Cougar King's topic in Mean Green Football
Ok, I've kept my mouth shut for too long. First of all, get a life, dude. You sound quite pathetic when you have to go on another team's board to talk smack, don't you have your own? Secondly, get a life. Oh wait, I already said that. Great things are happening at NT and will continue to and I'm sure UH is making strides as well. In football, you are ahead but we all know how quickly programs can rise and fall, so please shut your mouth if you're going to sound condescending on here. Bottom line, get a life and be productive, i.e. get the heck out of here. I'm trying to be nice here, don't push it. -
Enough of the excuses and finger-pointing. Yes, DT is not the best QB, but NO, he is NOT the reason why we stink as a team. The reason is because we have a huge lack of depth and, to be honest, our coaching staff is good, but sometimes I scratch my head with the play-calling. I think that happens when there is an important lack of depth and coaches don't trust certain plays and go conservative throughout.
-
I honestly don't know if we'll win the game. We HAVE to play better offensively if we are. However, by judging how this team has played against better competition (not saying UH is) on the road, I have a good feeling about the game. I feel DT and company will step it up and I will be able to LAUGH at all of the cocky (stupidly so) UH fans this season. I just find it hilarious how many UH fans are so over-confident with their crappy team this season. I guess they feel their 40yr-old former QB is still playing for them...

Our offensive output tonight was impressive
bleedgreen4ever replied to H-towngreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Our offense is sad. I just can't describe all of the opportunities they get and end up blowing them away. DT and some others will have to step it up big time if they want to get to a bowl game. The only team I see us with a fair shot at winning if we continue to play like this is USA. We better improve, and fast. Defense is getting better but needs to continue getting better, especially with the way our offense is performing. -
Denfense was good but not great
bleedgreen4ever replied to VideoEagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Disagree. This is a team effort. There were things the defense could have definitely done better to help us win. Cover better, and the game is 7-0. Of course, they could have used help from our inept special teams and offense, but that's beyond the point. We need to hold the entire team accountable, including all of the coaches. -
This is beyond embarrassing. I knew you were all giving the coaches and players too much glory. The moment this team shows CONSISTENCY on EVERY game, is the day I'll start believing in it. I'm tired of all this constant inconsistency. I wonder if this team just refused to win today. What a pathetic display by the offense and special teams, just pathetic.
-
Really doubt we go 10-2, but it isn't impossible. Every game from now on is winnable, without question. I just think a few of them will be determined by one or two plays that could go either way, and don't think we'll have that much luck to win all of those. I'm still sticking to my 7-5 prediction and a bowl game. We may even get to 8-4. I just still see many inconsistencies and gaps in this team in order to be so dominant the rest of this year. Next year, I think we compete for the CUSA title and with this coaching staff, we'll get a 10-2 or better record in the future.

We had a good shot at beating #15 Kansas State on the road, so yeah, we better damn expect to win the rest of our games.
