  1. To put it simple: if Mac goes 1-11 this season and gets fired, I could very well live with a coach Cristobal, .... I am not sure though that we could get him. edit: this is not at all to say that I expect Mac to have a bad season.
  2. Updated this, changed it to the order of the schedule and started adding Myerbergs previews too. I also added a few infos on fan boards (no claim to completeness or that I have not missed the best sites). I mostly do this for myself, but figure others might find it usefull too.
  3. I get that, but for us right now it is not interesting to play them even. We have enough local gamesand don't need to add one just to add one. With TxS we would need a little extra for it to be interesting. I don't blame TxSt though if they thought that would not be interesting to them, but even would not advance our schedullling.
  4. I think that what the move to C-USA provided more than anything else is a good bargaining position when it comes to local games. You can never have enough local games, but NT is not starving for those anymore. I say NT should take any texas FBS opponent on if they give NT a "fair" deal. That of course does not mean the same for every opponent. For TxSt that means a 3 for 2 in NTs favor. For most others it means an even 2 for 2 or 1 for 1 or so. We are not starving for local games as much as for example SMU or Houston, and SMUs partly reacted to that with deciding to take NT on again. Houston is nice, but NT already travels down there once every other year. Baylor, Tech TCU etc are all lovely, but not at the cost of getting less home games. NT is already in trouble again for getting 6 home games in 2015. I guess with A&M I could live with 1 for 2 if we got additional cash that let's us buy a home game with someone else. With UT let's say a neutral one at jerry world and one at their place and some cash.
  5. even tough we lost this match, I would still like to say: good season, ladies.
  6. not looking too promissing right now. we lost 3 first sets, won one and are still fighting in 2. need at least one of those lost first set matches to be turned around
  7. not at all looking good in the first set on courts number 1 and 4 (down 1-4 or 1-5) it's tight on 2 courts and we lead with break on 2. we need to win the tight matches too.
  8. eraly (very early) lead in 4 singles matches, down in 2
  9. Wow. really incredible also with the low results table and all. very, very nice
  10. Sure that is nice too, but I was more asking about the teams though. I really don't know when is the last dime a team got this far, says kinda more about the state of a program. Also: please forgive my ignorance about T&F and I guess S&D would be the same. I am interested: how well did these individuals do at the finals? I just realized that tennis has the chance to get there today too if they do beat TCU (not totally impossible).
  11. Absolutely. If they would always play the same way they did the 3rd round in the last 4 tourneys, they would be ranked in the top 15, but first rounds have pretty consistently been stinkers. If they can get a tourney start together for once, being among the top 5 teams of this regional is more than realistic. That would be a great acomplishment. When is the last time NT made it to the final 30 (or 32) in any sport?
  12. That is actually less than most schools at a comparable expense level show. Also: NTdid move up the chart quite a bit: both revenues and axpenses are up about 8 million for 2012 compared to 2011, and most of what was additional on the expenses part comes from Buildings/Grounds.
  13. Yep, that is how I read this too: 5 home games in 2015 is officail now. Somebody please ask RV why this had to be.
  14. I know this is totally off toppic, but I just have to ask... Emmit: why is your new logo looking like a Vagina?
  15. The health issue makes me think this is a player with not only high upside but alsowith high risk (repeated nconcussions can lead quickly to having to abandon your major sport), probably the kind of risk we need to take in the situation NT is in.
  16. Players who graduate being able to transfer and play immeaditely. The most reasonable (maybe the only one) rule the NCAA has introduced on transefrring
  17. I guess there is an ok chance in the first round... getting past A&M and the second round would take a minor miracle though.
  18. Yes, because NT qualified for regionals as a team all players are also qualified as individuals in regionals, and should the team fail to qualify for the finals, may possibly qualfy as individuals for the finals if their effort is i think the second best of all individuals at the regional that are not already qualified with the team.
  19. And it's official. North texas wins the 2013 Sun Belt Mens Golf Championship!!!
  20. 4 shots and only one group to come in. This pretty much means we won it. can't give up more than two shots, since the worst player of the day does not count so on top of that happening the GSU player would have to make 2 birdies on the last 3. happy
  21. the first ones have come in, and NT has a 1 shot lead again 4 guys left to come in.
  22. Dang it.... 3 holes to go for everyone and we are a shot behind
  23. 2 guys with 6 holes left, 3 with 3. one shot ahead of Georgia State. South Alabama has dropped of the pace a bit and is now 5 behind. This probably won't be won until the last hole
  24. Halftime for the day. we lead by one itty bitty tiny shot. But at least we lead. Ortiz is having a great day so far, cazaubon tied for the lead in individuals.
  25. great start for ortiz Scarola and rubio: -1 after 3 holes and we have already taken the lead by 2 shots. let's hope this keeps going down that road
