  1. It also sucks to lose late in a game.
  2. I am not so far removed from those long ago moments to have forgotten the truth about where'd my luck occur as it was pretty much everywhere...I mean the bad luck kind.
  3. One day at a time. One game at a time. Feathers today and chicken tomorrow. Give it time so we can judge over time and revisit this issue a year from now...two years from now. Beat Navy.
  4. Good point. I'm thinking the nuanced term "athlete students" may be the new normal.
  5. Seems the upper Muckety-Mucks would be the portal pushers in this case as they benefit more than others.
  6. Excellent writing, C Rod. Entertaining and informative with some feels! I hope you continue to contribute.
  7. Thanks so much for your intelligent insight and thoughtful contribution. By the way, I was just wondering if your Cougar tag is a hopeful reference to your interest in young boys?
  8. Very interesting and good!
  9. Ha! You just have to get closer.
  10. Jeff Traylor looks like Adolf Hitler.
  11. You bring up something I've never considered in all my years....makes me wonder if we should find a league to join that doesn't keep score.
  12. The person who posts the time/down on the screen must have left the stadium.
  13. Excellent, Sir! We are mighty proud of you!
  14. It's a new word formed by the contraction of the words 'angry' and 'thirsty'. I makes sense to those who have spent too much time in Lubbock...like 30 minutes.
  15. 34-31 FIU I edited this to give myself the puking eagle.
  16. This is the first time every Pac-12 team won its season opener since 1932... and last time.
  17. All the best to you tomorrow, TCC Mean Green!
  18. I am no expert but I enjoy watching my teams and I bleed green. I always appreciate all the intricate nuances about the physics of player-placement and all the various play developments, etc. There are several of you on whom I lean and look forward to your take on all things Mean Green. You even at times seem to have some very pertinent inside information. I admire your expertise. What I'm getting at is many of you have supported and generally encouraged the support of the new coaching staff. What I would like to hear is your take on what went sour Saturday. What could the coaching staff have done differently and what can they do to fix it and what are they likely going to do to fix it?
  19. Merciful Jebus. When will it end?
  20. Need to work on all three phases: Defense, offense, Coaching.
  21. https://theathletic.com/4820335/2023/08/30/acc-smu-realignment-aac-mike-aresco/?source=pulsenewsletter&campaign=7581663 Excerpts from the pay-walled article, AAC commissioner Mike Aresco: League has ‘contingency plans’ if SMU leaves for ACC: "Aresco said the league can operate with an odd number of members, if needed, and that if the Dallas-based SMU were to leave, the conference would look smart for having added the University of North Texas... "...Aresco reiterated his opposition to the terms “Power 5” and “Group of 5.” He believes they directly led to the latest round of realignment and to the Bay Area schools’ pursuit of the ACC alongside SMU. “I’ve talked about how destructive this whole P5 thing can be,” Aresco said. “It’s all about branding. It’s all about the P5 conferences... "Aresco said he expects the ACC to make a final decision on expansion “fairly soon.” “I don’t really think you can go on too much longer,” he said. “None of this is really healthy.” "Other schools waiting for the fallout of the ACC’s decision are Oregon State and Washington State, which could be the final two schools left in what was the Pac-12. Both the Mountain West and AAC have made it clear that they are interested in adding them, though Aresco declined to discuss that further on the record."
