Thanks CW. Left to right: See no bad basketball coach, coach no basketball, and speak no bad about basketball coach.

Trying to calmly look through the emotion... I wonder if, when Benford accepted the job offer, he was aware of the possibility that he might not be able to be successful as a head coach? Did he assume he could be successful if he simply continued to recruit talented athletes? I remember looking at the video of the RV introduction/press conference and thinking that he (Benford) seemed uncomfortable. But, I dismissed that as first-timer's jitters, etc. This situation is not going to improve. Deep in my soul I want to wish him well and send him on his way. Now.

Law school applications are headed for a 30-year low, reflecting increased concern over soaring tuition, crushing student debt, and diminishing prospects of lucrative employment upon graduation. Ring Time...
Greenrex replied to MeanGreenTXN's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I could not afford a ring and didn't know anyone who could although it might be kinda cool to have one inscribed: Texas Normal College. -
I hope Tulsa stays as well but, I fully expect that not to happen. Thanks for the thoughtful comment.

Take the BB Coach for a walk on it.

It could become a Legacy Bridge. Attractive plantings and trees as necessary and commemorative plaques placed along the way to honor those who have brought pride and recognition to our school. I am not familiar with the construction but it seems these things could be attached to the rafters in a visually tasteful way as well as incorporated in the landscape. Perhaps there could be a portion of this space dedicated to those grads who have given their lives in service to our country. But wait, that's not all...How about reserving some of this space for the purpose of selling little personalized plaques for all of us to show our thanks/pride.

Throw out the coach.

I am just grateful that at least for now we don't have a Central campus.

Please know that just as you will always keep a place in your heart for your precious wife, we will keep a place for you in the North Texas family. -
Maybe one of the presidential candidates can work this in during the next debate.

New Non-AQ vs AQ BCS Bowl Likely Worth 20 Million
Greenrex replied to Coach Bill Lewis's topic in Mean Green Football
2. The Sun Belt Conference: For years, it's been known as the worst of the FBS conferences. This month, though, it has really taken a big step forward. The biggest statement came when Louisiana-Monroe , led by QB Kolton Browning, shocked No. 8 Arkansas , a 30-point favorite. ULM has since put big scares into Auburn and Baylor to keep the nation's attention. Meanwhile, Western Kentucky , fresh off a 42-17 demolition of defending Conference USA champSouthern Miss , is 3-1. That win improved the Sun Belt to 4-1 head-to-head against C-USA. Oh, and ULM seems set to give the SBC another win over a C-USA program when it visits Tulane this weekend. Thanks for the info untcampbell. I watched the game at home in Atlanta GA. What a grand feeling I had about this team! I have been following NT since first enrolling there in 1962 and I feel such a change coming over our beloved school...I surely do wish I could go to a game!
