The final score may be an indicator of his involvement.

Nothing in Atlanta either and I was so much looking forward with all the tv/All-Access hype...The only game I have been able to watch this year was Rice. I suppose All-Access and I will not be renewing our vows next time... cwap.

Kentucky Fried Chaparral. (Pardon if a repeat)

You are correct, the situation cannot linger another month. And in view of that, it is my hope that Dr. Rawlins takes on the duty, however unpleasant the task might be. Effective leaders do those things.

I wish this coach no ill. In fact I wish him well and hope that he enjoys a successful career in whatever profession or endeavor his life takes him. That endeavor and that direction is not and can never be as head coach of the North Texas Men's Basketball program. This debacle must be corrected and it must be corrected now. I don't know if the AD has the authority to fix this but I do know that every day the AD does nothing places the AD himself one step closer to the exit door. North Texas would be better off with an interim head coach for the remainder of the season. At the very least that would indicate that we have an administration that understands the importance of demonstrating concern for the student-athletes, current/past/future students, and general public perception of the university. It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out with the new president. It seems to be the perfect opportunity for him to demonstrate where he stands on the importance of perpetuating successful athletic programs.

Your Memories & Thoughts of JFK, 11.22.63 Up To Present
Greenrex replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
I was mighty excited driving from Denton that day. My professors at North Texas would surely understand anyone skipping class. It was a beautiful day in Dallas and Judy, my sister and I went outside where she worked near Mockingbird Lane and stood at the curb on Lemmon Avenue waiting for the JFK car to drive by. There were no more than 40 or 50 people in sight and when his car drove by it seemed to slow down and both Kennedys waved to us. We vigorously returned the waves. It was my first time seeing him in person and that limousine was so close to us. Mrs. Kennedy was beautiful and he was handsome although somewhat smaller than I had imagined. He was tan and his hair was lighter than I expected. I was halfway back to Denton when I got the news about the shooting and immediately turned around and went back to Dallas. I don't remember what street I was on where I parked my car but it was somewhere downtown, I think near the Nieman Marcus store. Men and women still dressed for work were standing around. Some were sitting on the sidewalk. Many were crying. It was early afternoon and the sky darkened so much that the street lights came on, the wind picked up, and the temperature dropped. I was cold and shaking. After a couple of hours as I drove toward Denton that afternoon I began to wrap my thoughts around the fact that the world had changed that afternoon. I thought about the countless times that I had tried to convince my parents and others to vote for Kennedy. My body wouldn't stop shaking. Later that night a friend invited me over because it was his birthday. I don't remember what was said or anything else about the night but, I didn't say much that would reveal my feelings. I don't think I ever got over that day. The world didn't either. -
No specific mistake(s)...pretty much equal talent...just my opinion that the difference is coaching.

I'll have to go with your figures because of my lack of AQ knowledge but, I think I was counting AAC teams as AQ (for this year anyway).
-
The CBS Sports site includes an up-to-the-minute BCS ranking. It may be semi interesting to note that, at #56 (we were #55 yesterday) there are 26 AQs ranked lower and seven NonAQs ranked higher than us. Keep in mind that these numbers may or may not be accurate based on my lack of AQ knowledge and/or my own questionable integrity. My house is full of upset UGAs. It's coaching. Case in point: Auburn's Hail Mary. Ga D must. Must bat the ball toward the ground. Remind them, coaches! But, what did the UGAs do? They tried to catch the ball, got their hands under the ball, batted the ball up, and kept the ball ion play.

I hope for your full and speedy recovery.

Good words...Thanks!

"...an economy that ranks number three in the world, after the United States and China. It’s got more than 100 million consumers generating $7 trillion a year in goods and services. They’re generally better off financially, with special interests in health, exercise, leisure travel, Internet shopping and digital gadgets. Every year, their numbers and buying power expand. This is the 50-plus population in the United States..." I don't know anyone, man or woman, in my age group who is not an avid sports fan! What's your connection and why do you follow UNT?
Greenrex replied to Travis's topic in Mean Green Football
It took me two tries to get a degree. I began in '61 and took a break after a couple of years to wear a more olive drab shade of green for Uncle Sam. I returned in '68 and graduated in '70. I love my North Texas with all my heart and soul and I am thankful every day that it is so much a part of me. I also love all these great comments and hope they keep coming in...wish I had a million Green Up Arrows. -
Does GMG.com Affect your Work Productivity?
Greenrex replied to Mean Green 93-98's topic in Mean Green Football
I am retired and much like every multiple-choice event in my life, I couldn't find the right answer. I check GMG many times per day so I punched "block me/fire me." I even check GMG sometimes when I get up for the 3:30 am stumble to the bathroom.
