  1. Will the athletic department have an allotment for the away game? Recent grad currently living in SF.
  2. If you think the ath dept doesn't skew attendance, you are wrong. I can confirm that since I used to work for them. They always call a minimum of 3,000 more than actual.
  3. I find it funny that some of the students think they "cannot" be moved. They will sell these as SEASON tickets and those left unsold will be sold to the walk up crowd on game day. The seats will be ASSIGNED, not GA. This whole policy sucks, but don't create another issue by being stubborn.
  4. They do not pay athletic fees, so no they do not receive a free ticket.
  5. They should arrive around the last week of August. Last I heard they were waiting to get them back from the professional printing company.
  6. The no umbrella rule is common for outdoor stadiums. Nobody wants to sit behind your umbrella and not be able to see and the people sitting under you do not want to be dripped on. Imagine if we allowed umbrellas and it poured for the Houston game....Nobody would be able to see because everyone would have their stupid umbrella up. Also, you can bring your own panchos into the stadium. You are not forced to buy them at the team store. I think if you have this many excuses, you can't really say you're a UNT fan. I've seen PLENTY of marketing on campus for football and McCarney made it to every freshman orientation. Sure, UNT students aren't the most excited bunch for football but that takes time and a winning seasons. Personally, I am really tired of all of these pathetic excuses and complaining. I know many students who toughed it out and went to the game to support their team. Whether you decided to stay home or not is your own issue, not anybody elses or the staff of the stadium for not letting you bring an umbrella that wouldn't really keep you dry from horizontal rain anyways. Good day sir.
  7. They moved into the two teams stores within the stadium. DUH!
  8. The fee is high because of stadium rental+parking+concessions+having to have an entire police department to work security and close down the highway/direct traffic. Thank you City of Denton.
  9. You can blame that STUPID wrist band/spirit march promo for third/fourth quarter attendance. They gave away free stuff by gate 4 at the end of the third (shirts, flip flops) for people who participated in the spirit march. WHO DOES A PROMO THAT TAKES THE STUDENT SECTION OUT OF THE GAME!? I think that was the dumbest idea....EVER! So thank you to UNTactivities and Housing or whoever put on that ridiculous promotion. Clearly they weren't thinking. Most students just got their stuff and walked out because they had already left the stands.
  10. http://deadspin.com/5858941/lee-corso-asks-wheres-that-little-kid-as-espn-gameday-cuts-to-penn-state-huddle Way too soon. Wowwwwww http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bGBrit4EMo And then this...what a day for Lee Corso!
  11. Parking is just ONE benefit of the Mean Green Club. So the fees aren't just for a parking pass. You get one at the $250 level with at least one football season ticket. The donation counts for the whole year and there are benefits for basketball as well as the Olympic sports.
  12. ESPN will tell all! FIU 23-20 OT
  13. The attendance for this game is AWFUL! I mean, yes it's on a Tuesday, but you would think there would be a good group of students there. I swear there are only about 10 people in the stadium.
  14. You do realize its up to each individual vendor as to what they offer and if they take cards or not. UNT concessions all take cards and I know sonic makes a carbon copy and charges the next week. Maybe you should take up the cash only issue with Metzlers themselves. As for ATM machines, those are also owned by an outside company and if they say out of service that usually means they are out of cash. They have several around the concourse though so I don't see why it's so hard to walk to another. As for sonic, they don't have grills in the concession stands for them to run a full out sonic drive in. Think about where we are now from where we were at Fouts. There is a larger variety of vendors and stands all around the concourse instead of just 2 or 3 in the stadium.
