yeah the only thing that doesn't make sense in the equation is will it hurt Mack's legacy....it would be a grotesque media storm, the money fits, we'd take a back seat, all of that....but does Mack really want to take that risk? It's proven to be a tough place to win. At his age and coming off the unceremonious dismount at Texas, I feel like he'd want a different type of opportunity. That being said they went to 4 bowls in 5 yrs...they've had good players and good teams and it won't take much to push them over the edge, especially with them dolla$...I just really don't want this because of what it means for us.

Just kidding - but on the real, what news is there? Last I heard was Houston Nutt, and obviously the Mack and Major deals...anyone heard anything else?

if they tore down Fouts instead, I guess we could have track meets up and down the grocery aisles. could be fun..

Definitely there for UTSA....likely won't make it to Rice

The West is so down this year....I can't wrap my mind around what to expect. Us, UTSA, Rice...all disappointed. Won't really know until we start playing our division...but, keep in mind DW only has 2 games under his belt. In one he put up huge numbers, in the other he had is second start ever on the road against an improved Big 10 team. We're definitely going to have to outscore folks this yr so I'm antsy to see what happens too...but I believe the offense will get moving in the next 2 games. Our Oline is too good and DW is too talented not to. CUSA is just weak - we'll have our chances. Plus the east teams we play aren't Marshall...

Terrell has been frustrating. These guys are finally getting balls thrown downfield though. It takes time to mesh. DW had a few bad misses today.

I agree that if one starts to mail it in, it will be Rice. But both coaches are great coaches and have gotten a hell of a lot out of their players over the years. UTSA has a bunch of balls out seniors that started the program on their team and they will surely rise to the challenge. Rice, I know a lot less about this year, but they played some beasts and didn't get embarrassed to start the season. Bailiff is a good coach and they're done rolling over and dying down there I think. Gonna be a long conference schedule yet. Can't wait to see how it pans out. Can't wait to see what happens in Bloomington so we know how much hope to have about busting these two teams up down the road. Soar high above the rooftops Eagles!!!!!!!

Texas was really trying to keep us in that game...it would have been a completely different game with DW. They didn't start to pull away until right before half time and even then it wasn't an ass kicking. They scored off turnovers our offense committed and moved the ball offensively only after our defense had been on the field for way too long. I'm not saying we would've left Austin with a W, but it certainly would have been much closer. That's besides the point though - we're talking about OSU, not Texas...that being said, they're a much more serious program now than they were 5 yrs ago. But a lot can change between now and when it would kick off.

so you don't believe in the Mean Green? It would certainly be a heavy OSU crowd but it would showcase Apogee to a better TV audience. They also played at Robertson a few yrs back in a home and home with the Coogs. Iowa State is more realistic...but OSU would be a better bang.

I've admittedly kept up with the P5/G5 scheduling sense in a shameful manner, so feel free to crush this...but could it not be a realistic thought to schedule a home & home with Okie State? Get them down here to play in the 'plex. I know they play in Funky Town every other year so they'd schedule it on an off yr in that relationship. Give me some other reasons why they wouldn't want that... It would mean a lot more to folks to get someone of that nature in Apogee than a Wazzu or Wake Forest for example...someone who has a footprint in DFW. Also, what were the circumstances in getting K State down here? Wasn't that a 2 for 1 deal?

Had an okay turnout in Red Blue...we always setup by that shed in the back of the lot...took awhile longer than I liked but ppl started rolling in ok. Got a good thing going back there.
