Fair to say for sure.

Correct. We should have been up by two more touchdowns by halftime than we were....AT LEAST another ten pts. Mason missed a wide open would be TD (or close) and then missed a huge opportunity on the possession with the first missed T Moore fg. I was pretty grossed out at halftime rather than excited to be honest. Really encouraged by the fact that this team can play so much better than it did today. Don't get me wrong, very very proud of the effort on the road but we can execute a lot better and clean up the penalties...we can win 7 or 8. Our oline still has lots of room to improve to make that happen as well but we are CAPABLE. Army played poorly but we are the reason they lost today - not them.

Boy this broadcast team is a straight up beating. Feely is giving us no credit for the score right now saying it's all Army's mistakes. WE are playing sloppy...we should be up by two more touchdowns if we can make some throws.

conference realignment G5 Conference Realignment
tmjerm replied to Mike Jackson's topic in Mean Green Football
While regional rivalries are important, nothing means more than playing better competition regularly...we need to continue to improve our strength of schedule and we will be in good position when things shake out again as long as we are winning. Don't get me wrong I'd love nothing more than to see the SWC+UNT but I think realistically we need to shoot for national branding if we want to keep this FBS thing up.- 38 replies

Army is definitely way more solid than they've been in a long time and frankly I think they are definitely the superior team BUT it is sooo critical for the IMMEDIATE future to win this one for several reasons. We are so CAPABLE of bringing this one home and it would show a serious leap in competitiveness to do so. The defense will have to prove they are the real deal and fly around like we know they can. Let's light it up green - can't wait!!

Wonder how Waco/Baylor got to light the bridge over the Brazos then?

Time to act like winners and close it out

That's awful, but not surprising. Homecoming will be good for us especially if we can eat some wins in.

Hell yes! Nice to see us lose a man and keep the train moving. Prayers out to Barr.

Cusa refs have been awful all yr.

I love it!

Man the CUSA tv losses are awful. I don't remember it being this difficult in recent years. I know news dropped in the offseason about this but it stings.

Ah! I misunderstood

Perhaps I'm off on my directions. I mean the opposite part of the side they already sit on. Still on the visitor side, just the corner where the wing is rather than the open end of the stadium. Is that not the northeast corner?
-
Care to elaborate why that's a bad idea?

Dead on...very weird how that happened. I think it shows Mac just got lucky with Frank. I was always interested in how he started his career at Hardin Simmons. Would love to hear that story if anyone knows anything about that. Didnt seem to have any Texas ties otherwise. I know he came as part of the South Florida crew.

I also notice how lots of stadiums have visitor sections far away from having an opportunity to connect with their team. E.g. at Kansas State the visiting team comes onto the field in one end zone and the fans are sitting in the opposite end zone. I remember feeling so far from our boys in Manhattan. Perhaps we could seat the opposing fans in the northeast corner of the stadium instead...not that our opponents bring many fans but it still gives them something to tether to when they come out of the locker room and they're immediately seeing family and friends.

Some people need to be regulated on.

Wow what jerks to not move knowing those weren't their seats.

I've got a newborn and was unfortunately unable to make it out last night. It sounds like a huge number of survey related initiatives were enacted last night, which is great. From what I hear, cheers, audio, concession and tailgating changes were all enacted. Anybody willing to compile or contribute to a list of all these apparent changes? Very encouraged by the quick action taken.

Cool idea with the guestbook! We are usually doing our thing on the other side of the parking lot but I'll come down there and say hey next time. Glad you guys do it right!

I couldn't go to the game but glad to hear they brought that back. I wrote that in on the survey so I will gladly accept credit for that.
