Pre UNLV I was open to this, post UNLV I was 100% pro this, post actual firing I finally feel like mourning this bc there have been so many great things and he’s not the kind of Jimbo horn tooting guy to take credit and we rarely gave it to him so I hope we can finally let go of grudges and pay him respects. Time for something else but damn I appreciate the good times eg The Drive, Fayetteville, a couple CCG appearances, making bowl games, the early times were more fun than the later but between COVID bullshit and general Grace, I find it easy to feel a deep appreciation. Hopefully he will be an ambassador in the future and show up to celebrate anniversaries. He deserves to.

Jeez Louise the Aune hate is so misguided. He’s done his part. Not his fault he was the best we had to put out there and he owned it and did his best. He’s not the guy to criticize. I’m proud of the kid/man. Some of y’all just take shit for granted. Give money, demand better, great. Criticizing him does nothing but alienate a guy who has done more physically, mentally and emotionally than nearly anyone on this board.

I have a lot of respect for your takes typically but your Seth hate lately has left zero space for nuance. I understand why, but you‘re a smarter guy than being so black and white about this. I don’t disagree about the direction we should head.

The conspiratorial stuff is crazy. Pay raise, higher profile job. I emailed Wren congratulations and today he took the time to reply to me with gratitude. BS he wanted out of here as fast as he could...he took a better job and even still he is paying his respects to the fans when he doesnt have to. And PS, I'm not special. Just a regular old fan. He's always replied when I've emailed any concerns. The dude is crazy accessible.

Not to set the expectation that the matchup is the same as it was earlier in the year, but don't forget that we only had 22 yards rushing in our first game against them. We nearly won that game despite it. Different depth for both sides now and we know Aune isn't ever a guarantee to repeat a performance, but food for thought.

I love and appreciate Seth and he has brought us to new heights. He has been nothing but class about it winning AND losing. He’s done a hell of a job to get us here. Unfortunately, things have gotten very stale. Unless he wins the conference and/or a bowl, we need a change. I’m not certain we don’t need a change regardless. One of the missing ingredients is ambassadorship. If he wins that’s not as necessary, but the extroverted parts of the job aren’t really there. Forever grateful for his time here, but it’s time for change.

After Southsern Miss n them bolted for the Belt we had to move the schedule around and wound up playing a Week 0 game.
