UNT’s hard work over the past years is paying off
tmjerm replied to Dannymacfan's topic in Mean Green Football
We’ve needed this kind of guy so bad for awhile. It’ll help with acknowledging traditions and broaden our richness and uniqueness. We haven’t had a coach celebrate those kinds of things in a long long time. And neither Dan nor Seth really pushed the SMU rivalry very hard so for Eric to rip it wide open like that is so great. I don’t want him to run his mouth too much, but treating it the way the actual fans do too is so refreshing. I look for Eric to celebrate what makes us “us” so much more than we’ve seen in the past. -
I really do believe we are in such great shape. TBH it’s hard to see 6+ wins on the schedule next year knowing the little we know so far, but 1. I do expect to be pleasantly surprised and 2. A longer term view shows amazing talent and potential with the folks involved at MGV right now. Super proud to be an Eagle right now.

Lack of will and lack of focus are two very different things. The lizard mind can easily lose focus but a lack of will implies an entirely different thing.

This. Why be such dicks to the dude? He did more than anyone criticizing him. Sure, frustrating. Now it’s over. Stop toddler stomping and have some grace.

Yeah every wide receiver that drops a ball says to themselves before it gets to them “you know, I really don’t want to catch this pass”

Awful post. These kids left it all out there. Nearly beat a 10 win team. If you want to blame their coach, fine. He’s already gone. New era has already started. What’s your point?

Absolutely. He’s got a lot of love for the game and its players in his heart and you have to prioritize that number one. Secondly, he’s been able to find a way to be an effective DC on plenty of staffs that prioritize a lack of time of possession. He’s DC’d a TON of plays knowing he’s going to give up points but he adjusted to the wide open game. He’s taken plenty of darts for that, some deserved but he’s always been brave and owned that stuff. I’ll miss him as our DC. Part of it is his talent in coaching, but to be honest another part of it is about the passing of time and an end of another era of a truly magical unicorn.

Wholeheartedly agree. Just saying, QB and defensive improvement are paramount with that schedule to improve upon what that would look like with this year's team.

We are gonna need to win the kinds of games we couldnt this year (UTSA, Memphis, UNLV) to get bowl eligible assuming relative talent level is similar (however we know we will have a new QB and likely entirely new identity)...but just off of talent feel, here's what I see. Seems like we'd need to snag one from UAB, Memphis, or UTSA or win the unscheduled OOC game. That said, every single one of these games is very much winnable. Cal - L @ La Tech - W ACU - W UTSA - L @ Tulsa - Toss Up Memphis - L @SMU - L UAB - L @Tulane - L Temple - W @ Navy - Toss Up

I bought the battle flag hat a year or so ago and like it but we need some fresh designs

That too is one of my biggest issues with a new place. It being on campus is so key. I hate never getting the true college feel over at MGV.

Basketball arena, not that I want to see the Pit go.

Dammit y’all gonna keep me up too late. EDIT: halfway through and sticking with it just thinking about how grateful I am that you fellas put all this time in. Exciting time for our family of Eagles and glad y’all give such a great platform to enjoy it on.

Lovelace Jet Picking Up Morris Family
tmjerm replied to Coach Andy Mac's topic in Mean Green Football
Can’t imagine the hopeful feeling both of those guys have on that walk in Apogee. I’m cautiously optimistic but as the day has gone on I’ve loved this whole deal more and more. It’s been awhile since we’ve had some glitter in the eyes of the program. Love, appreciate and respect Seth forever. I’m sure we will hear the same from Eric in his press conference. Sometimes the baton just needs to be handed to the next brudda who’s been dreaming of slaying some dragons. This feels right and good.- 24 replies

Hahaha I’m glad someone else said it first. Noticed it and thought how he’s gonna hate that awhile and hopefully after several bowl wins it’ll be a funny memory for him. I’m excited about the hire and clearly he is too!

https://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Pass-American-Reinvention-Football/dp/1501116193 This book is such a great read. Read it several years back and it gives awesome history (as you’d expect from Gwynne) on Mumme and Leach developing an entirely new paradigm to the game. It also is surprisingly intellectual from an X’s and O’s perspective about the actual offense. Early Seth era it was so easy to see these kinds of things develop on the field. The crazy part is, mesh is such a simple concept. With Eric coming in and Coach Leach’s untimely passing, it’s a great time to read or re-read. Highly recommend.

Right and president of LLC is an attorney, just seeing if someone knew of a connection there or what. Bet it was a lease situation, but who knows. -

How do you know it’s the Lovelace jet? It’s registered to KKA Enterprises.
